Last 3 days here in the Keys. Beach today and maybe tomorrow before we pack Thursday so we are ready for an early departure on Friday.
I did not snorkel yesterday but Mike did (I enjoyed the boat ride). The captain started out by telling us that it was at the upper end of roughness for snorkeling. The seas where we went were 3+ feet. Four of us opted not to snorkel at all. Another 4-5 people ended up having panic attacks like I did a couple of weeks ago. One woman got so panicked that we were afraid she wouldn't make it in and one of the crew jumped in to help her. Another guy became motion sick. But Mike and a bunch of others stayed out for about an hour and had a grand time. I am kind of glad I didn't try as I think I need a calm snorkel the next time to get over my panic time. We may try at the beach today or tomorrow if the wind calms enough.
Not much else planned. We are eating somewhat healthy at home today, but the next few dinners will be out somewhere.
Time for a Justice walk which he really deserves after two days of limited walks. Have a terrific Tuesday!

I finished the last chair! I'm happy with them. The comfort, size, color, number. All good. You all are welcome to come relax in them!
Today I have a board meeting. Sitting here, I can also see I need to dust which means I also need to vacuum. Which means it wouldn't hurt to clean the toilets. Argh.
Food was good yesterday until the sugar munchies got me at the end of the day and I scrounged for bread and peanut butter. I hate that purging food from my cupboards seems to be the only way to stop me from getting lured to temptation in those weak moments. Those people who can keep foods they crave in the cupboard for long stretches? I don't understand them. My folks had an unopened pack of Oreos in the cupboard until it expired. Who can do that? And why are we wired so differently?
I think a walk is in order today and more lower carb eating. The bread and peanut butter is still here, but I will do my best to ignore it. It's not even my favorite. It just hit the button I wanted to hit.
Sigh. Think I'm going to go eat some eggs.
Take care all!
The chairs came out great - I'd love to sit there!
Bread and peanut butter are probably better than pure carbs but I am like you - if something is in the house it calls to me. I try to keep sugar-free puddings and small ice creams in stock which I allow myself to have one of most nights. I started doing that when I was fully controlled in my eating because it helped me avoid bigger binges due to cravings. It still works now but I eat more carbs at meals than I should and then there is that late afternoon snack need...
LOVE them ! I'll come sit in one ANY time !!!

Greetings all
A busy day by my standards. Rain off and on. I won two of three scrabble games including beating the shark. Luck for sure. Then I went over to help my recently widowed friend. Not sure how much we really got done but I tried. I think she just sort of gets wrapped up in details and doesn't get much done so I am helping prioritize.
Liz sounds like not a fun day to snorkel. Glad you stayed out. I sure would have been seasick. I have snorkeled off the boat but prefer just walking in from a beach. In Mexico we got tons of fish to swarm with bits of toast. That was fun.
Still more roast pork to eat. DH complemented my dinner last night - it was roast pork and peas. Big whoop. But sort of healthy.
Yeah that little Minnesota eaglet is adorable. The Redding egg seems to have disappeared.
Ocean Diane enjoy the kayak. Light weight sounds good. Will you be able to take your sister when she comes?
Not much else. Cheers. Diane S
Love hearing that the eaglet is doing well.
I am lucky that I rarely get motion sick on a boat (though I had a terrible time with it in a moving vehicle when I was a kid).
I would have sat out the snorkeling too. And interesting about sea sickness. I forgot how I got seasick snorkeling in Curacao, after being tossed about in the waves. Motion sickness is the party pooper of my travel adventures. I really want to go on a whale watching tour every time we're in Massachusetts, but I'm not sure how many whales I would see with my head down, or laying on a bench.
CC those chairs look lovely! the tribe should all join you. What a fun trip that would be! As for the food thing, we too have to keep things very boring around here. Triscuits instead of Wheat Thins, steel cut oats instead of granola etc.
Regular work day, then I drove the 75 minutes or so one way to get my hair cut. My niece is now into raising chickens, so I bought a dozen eggs from her too. Free range eggs, they are pretty colors and I bet they will taste amazing!
Maybe my tastes aren't discriminating enough because though I like how fresh the yolks look on local eggs I can't really tell a difference in the flavor from store eggs.
