It's our first Anniversary and my Birthday. Last night was also the 18th anniversary of the crisis which resulted in eldest DD going on heavy IV morphine for her last 6 days. I woke at 2 am and never fell back asleep - not unusual on this day each year unfortunately. Maybe there will be time for a late afternoon nap.
The sun is out after a dull and somewhat rainy day yesterday. The plan is to go out for breakfast, walk with Justice, get ready to go, drop him at the dog-sitter, drop the car at the hotel in Key West, and then go on a sailing cruise in the afternoon. Tonight we have a reservation at the beautiful, romantic restaurant on Sunset Island across from Key West.
Have a terrific Thursday!
Liz, sending positive thoughts and energy as you process very different anniversaries. Happy birthday ! I am so proud of myself ! I opened the huge Amazon box with contents for a raised bed garden. Immediately upon unpacking and sorting the parts, the directions apparently blew away in the wind, never to be seen again. Luckily, I've assembled raised beds before AND the process was logical...imagine that ! I'll post a photo on TT.
Most of my friends are early risers and have earlier bed times, like me. For some reason, the majority of this year's St. Patrick's Day festivities are starting late. I sound like Jamie Lee Curtis, but there isn't mu*****entive for me to be up after 9 PM, not to mention up and OUT !
It is a nice sunny day, and Sadie and I are home from our walk, which was dry ! Time to dust and vacuum !

So much rain last night and thunderstorms! We got DRENCHED getting into the performing arts center. But the performance was beautiful. It was ABT and the work that went into bringing them to Sedona for one performance took YEARS. Such tenacious women to make it happen!
I posted a video of the raging creek on FB. Amazing. So many emergency alerts going off yesterday as they evacuated entire neighborhoods along the creek. The highway to Flagstaff is closed because of rock slides. Nutso and more rain later this week.
I'm waiting on a return from the pest guy this morning to again try to murder my nest of mutant poison-immune wasps that are getting into the house through a bathroom fan. Good times. Then off to my fiber arts monthly group meeting. Then nothing! Except I would feel so much less stressed if i just got my tax stuff together.
Peps, I'm hooked on Inside Man!
Enjoy your days!

I think my favorite was called Concerto. I found a video of it on YouTube with different dancers. Hauntingly beautiful!

Greetings all
Another blessed day of sun here. Rain will likely return tomorrow. It would be a good studio day as it empties out when the weather is nice. but I am stuck at home. Studio buddy is coming over so DH can help her set up docu-sign for some stuff with the power company and her solar system to be. What should take 20 minutes will take 2 hours due to excessive yaking. Oh well, I can busy myself with taxes and such because DH has to bear the burden of it.
Yep Liz anniversary days can be hard. Hope you can do something peaceful. We want to hear about Sunset Island.
Diane O, congrats on putting the planter box together. Sometimes it's just as well to not have instructions as some don't match up to the parts. What are you going to plant? Tomatoes or flowers or both? I must admit I am staring at the sorry looking planters on our deck and fantasizing about nice stuff in them. Herbs and poppies maybe. Plus sweet peas when the weather is right.
CC you guys are getting the atmospheric river now!! And Arizona has all those wash areas that flood from time to time. The fb video was astonishing! Seems like most of the west is under water. There is flooding about 30 miles south of here and on many of the rivers around here. There are cow pastures and places that always get ponds in the winter. But so far so good for everyplace that I need to go.
And yes, we started watching Inside Man last night. Great show. Love it. Thanks Peps.
I did some kind of census economic survey for the studio yesterday. Odd thing. Asked questions like does you business use robots or 3d printers and the options were yes, no or I don't know. Why would you have a robot and not know about iy?
