Hump Day for working folks! DD, I hope your doctor visit is truly uneventful.

Yesterday ended up not being as cloudy as expected but we used it to do some advance work for our Tahiti trip, planning what we will do while there and getting our Visa's set up for New Zealand and Australia. Today is actually supposed to have showers which might dampen our walk but at least we did 4 miles vs our usual 3 yesterday.

Today is the anniversary of my mother's death 13 years ago. Though it was sad to lose her and I especially miss her humor and political insights, she had a long life and was ready to leave when she passed. A lot of things seem to have happened in March during my lifetime.

Not much else to report except the boil water alert was lifted last night after I had purchased another case of water. A good thing to have around regardless though.

Have a winsome Wednesday!

ETA: I figured out something which those of you who travel might need sometime. We have no clock in the bedroom and with the time change it isn't light until 7:30 so I can't tell if it is time to get u*****t (we generally get up between 6:30-7). I was able to put an app on my iPhone that allows it to function like a digital bedside click. You can even change the color and brightness of the numbers. You just have to leave the phone set so it doesn't shut off automatically so it stays on all night (and make sure the phone is charged enough though it didn't seem to suck too much power).

Also, our Bocce team lost the first playoff round yesterday. But pretty amazing that a new team made it there (the other teams had mostly played for a couple of years or more together). And it accomplished a couple of other goals: meeting people and having fun.

Just paid the remainder of my Airbnb for Vancouver trip. When I return, I'll change my legal name back to my maiden name ! Diane S., the acupuncturists I have worked with were also Chinese medical practitioners. In my experience, they start by examining your hands and tongue, then ask questions, to determine what needle placements are needed. On a message type table, quiet music is played and the first needles are placed then the room is dimmed. You are alone relaxing for ~15 minutes, then the practitioner checks on you and places more needles. It is an interesting sensation... it doesn't hurt.

You couldn't change your name as part of the divorce? I believe Massachusetts allows that so I assumed most states did. But Massachusetts also allows a couple to change their last name to anything when they get married though I noticed that Florida did not (though I had the option of retaining my previous name).

Yes, I can do the name change as part of the divorce, but my ticket for an international flight and passport have my former name, so all IDs need to be in synch until I return.

Oh, I get it! I didn't change my name when we got married to avoid having to do that.

I've been encouraging DH to see an acupuncturist for his tinnitus. It's a notoriously difficult condition to treat, so it may or may not work for him. But there would be no harm in trying it.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring...

Still in my jammies. I'm watching a Netflix show called Inside Man with Stanley Tucci and David Tennant. Twisty, trippy, and good. The quote I read in an article about the show said something like, "Everyone is a murderer. They just haven't met the right person yet."

This afternoon I am going to a chamber of commerce social at a fancy hotel and then the ballet with my real estate agent friend. At this moment I am kicking myself for saying yes, but after I will probably be glad I went. Story of my social life.

Liz, I didn't remember we lost our moms so close together. It's 13 years for mine in December.

Take care all

What Ballet are you seeing? I never go anymore, but in my 30s a friend, her Mom and I had season tickets to the Ballet season here. I saw so many beautiful things, and a few what the heck was that? Hope what you see is beautiful.

A group of women has been working for 2 years to raise money/grants to bring ABT to Sedona for a performance. They arranged for them to stay in people's homes and had restaurants donate meals. They were here for one night and did 7 different dance performances from classical to modern. All were fantastic! I loved seeing all the little girls in the audience who probably have never seen professional ballet in person.
