Greetings peeps and Peps

I slept late today which made it super late due to the time change. DH dutifully changes all the clocks - we have a zillion it seems - and the cars. .I am not especially bothered by it but it may be because I choose to ignore clocks.

Crap Liz, water issues. Glad it's back on at the place. And maybe you could snorkel in a pool to get back to it before tahiti. Years ago there was a guy at the health club that would swim endless laps snorkeling and I always assumed he was preparing for some big trip. But yeah, off a beach is easier. Makes me want to try again.

CC love hearing about the GC. How much can a person see without serious hiking? Is there still a train trip there? Sounds fun. Your town needs to have street signs warning about balloons!

Ocean Diane the corned beef and cabbage dinner sounds fun! Especially since someone else cooked!Hope you and sadie are staying dry. I have not opened the japanese bbq sauce yet but maybe tonight.

We will watch the Oscars tonight. Of interest is the category best song and best movie score since one of the nominees is a guy who used to be in a band with our nephew - the nephew who scores tv shows. It's the song from Everywhere Everything etc. I have not seen that movie yet.

More rain. You can stop now. Gallery duty tomorrow and there will be nothing to do if this keeps up. Our sales for the year are down somewhat most likely due to rain and power outages. Anyway I will need to take lots of crosswords. I could clean the place ---or not.

I just had a snack of poached salmon on crackers with a bit of mayo. Nice snack. The hippie deli often has poached salmon and it's the good line caught kind and not from a farm. Tastes better. More for dinner tonight.

Cheers. Diane s

You can see so much of the GC without hiking! Once you're in the park, there is a free shuttle that goes all over. You can walk "the village" which is basically the historic hotel (El Tovar, an old Harvey House), lots of easy to walk paths along the rim, the mule barn, and several small old structures. The restaurant in the old hotel takes reservations. You can take the train from Williams and it lets you off right across from the hotel. All gorgeous.

PS - I saw Everything Everywhere with my hiking friends and we laughed, but mostly because it was so incredibly weird. At the end, I thought, what did I just see? I don't understand the whole multiverse concept, so it was a bit over my head. The main actress and Jamie Lee Curtis were great.
