It's Fat Tuesday! And yes, I feel that way though I didn't eat too much jambalaya at the pool party last night. Boy was it tasty though!
The home inspection didn't reveal any issues with the condo worth doing anything about. So we are on for a closing in late May. I am already rearranging furniture in my head and thinking about possibly having the dining room set painted (from very dark brown to a cream/distressed look), LOL.
Today we have to do errands, play bocce (next to last match before we leave for the Keys), then a Volunteer Appreciation get-together at the clubhouse tonight. It will be good to relax when we get to the Keys (except for the 6 days/nights when we will have company).
Have a fun Fat Tuesday!
I meet friends for a Fat Tuesday breakfast in a bit. During our walk, Sadie jumped into a retention pond and followed up by rolling in the clay and dirt. Needless to say, we've taken a shower, my second of the day ! I am on hold trying to reschedule my colonoscopy, after inadvertently canceling. Replying to text message reminders when multi-tasking...not good ! Loving the single life !!!

Hi all,
Long time no write! I've been occupied at dog shows and then catching up at home. Weight and eating are fine. I was down several pounds after the dog show weekend. Too busy to eat, I guess. Also, the running around probably helps, but most of the loss was water for sure. I am back up 2 of the 4 pounds dropped this morning.
Ah, Fat Tuesday.... wonder if Ron is going to want pancakes for dinner. It's one of his Fat Tuesday traditions. Me, I'd go for a beignet, but pancakes just don't excite me.
Dog show was "successful", if that's what you want to call it. Blitz did very, very well. So, I'm pleased by the weekend's results. Plus, I won $100 which almost covers entry fees! (Very rare to win any money at a show, so it's always a big plus when shows offer a little pot for a win!)
Liz, I'm glad all went well with the inspection. Diane O. did you buy a place in your current location or are you leasing? CC, how's the western chill? We are supposedly going to get hit with a blast of Alaskan air tonight and it's supposed to plummet back down into the 20s at night. The plum and almond trees are not going to love that, but as long as it doesn't rain, we should be fine!
Not much else here.....

We had sun this morning, but the wind has picked up and the sky turned dark this afternoon. I just answered Liz on yesterday's post that it's definitely snowier and colder this year. Last year Sedona had 4 snow events. Tonight's and tomorrow's is the 10th this year. I won't complain! The west needs water so badly!
Not sure I know anything else interesting! This storm is supposed to be a doozy with 55 mile an hour winds and 2-4" of snow here. 80mph in places like Prescott. Brr.
Take care all!
Weather events everywhere! I'm at the Intercontinental Hotel at the Minneapolis airport. Swanky :) The snow started at 2pm and is falling steadily. We can see the crews plowing the runways from our 11th floor view. School has already been cancelled for Wednesday and Thursday. The snow is supposed to let up for a bit tomorrow, and then the second band is supposed to dump 18 or more additional inches of snow on top of what will fall tonight. Hopefully we will be on our way to Florida before the 2nd band rolls in.
We were offered vouchers for ****tails when we checked in, so we'll be heading downstairs for dinner and drinks in a bit. I guess vacation starts now. :)
Greetings all
Hey we have the storm too. Hail off and on and rain. The hail here is dinky compared to the midwest. But it's still cold and windy and Tesla is nervous. Several more days of this so we have the battery packs charged in case plus I have extra wine.
Yay Liz the new place sounds all systems go. Could you just paint the top of the dining room table so it looks lighter? Guess a table cloth could do that.
CC glad you are better. Snow on those red rocks must be beautiful.
Ocean Diane sounds like Sadie had the time of her life in the pond. But not fun for you. Gotta love those water dogs!
Stopped at the store and got a steak and a few other things to hunker down for the storm. Hunker hunker hunker. Also went to the studio and delivered payroll plus did some glazing. Place was packed as it often is in crappy weather.
Peps yay on winning $100. Once I won a cairn sweepstakes and I think it was about $20. Small show.
Not much to report on food/weight. I am in a state of denial. My daily measurement is whether pants fit. So far they do.
We watched more of Dear Edward last night. It is good. More tonight. DH wants to watch some movie about a guy who turns into a lobster. No thanks.
Gotta pick up the house before cleaner tomorrow.
Hunker down all. DD hope your flight goes. Vacation does indeed start the minute you leave home.
