It is a gray, windy day here after what felt like a perfect summer day and evening yesterday.

We are officially under contract for the condo as of yesterday. Just the home inspection remains on Monday and I doubt that there will be any surprises as it was renovated 3 years ago.

The house will go on the market after the renters leave at the end of April but we need to decide whether to replumb it or not. Our realtor is encouraging it but after 2 estimates yesterday we really aren't convinced that it makes sense. There would be holes in the walls everywhere which would have to be repaired and the walls repainted after the pipes are replaced. Since we don't currently have any problems, we aren't sure it makes sense to go through the expense and major work required. Especially since the place really does not need to be repainted and in all likelihood whatever paint we chose would not be what a buyer necessarily wanted. Decisions...

Anyway time to get ready for a walk, then yoga. Have a superb Saturday!

Liz, is there something wrong with the plumbing in the development? I hadn't ever heard of people replacing plumbing unless was done wrong or used the wrong kind of pipes.

I'm still sick dammit. This is a whopper of a cold. Can't wait for the worst of it to be over. In the meantime, my sneezes could generate power and my eyes and nose are like faucets.

I slept outside in the sun for a bit. I think I'm going to take another nap now because it's the only way to escape this cold for a while. Sudafed and Mucinex are not cutting it!

Food isn't all that interesting so that's a benefit.

Take care all!

When the development was built they used metal piping (I am not sure plastic was available). The water in our area is apparently corrosive (probably high sodium) so it ultimately corrodes pipes. I had a home in the 1980's with the same issue but we just fixed leaks as needed. Apparently a lot of people replumb proactively and our realtor thinks it is a big deal (like a leaky basement). But we are feeling less and less like dealing with it when we haven't had any problems.

Greetings all

I finally got some of my silly chores done. Like the tax return for the gallery and checking all the math etc. It's really not a big job but procrastination is my middle name. So today I decided to make a list of tasks for the day; the tax return being one of them plus a few other business things. Amazing how it helps me to make a list. Otherwise these tasks just float around in my head and I don't get them done. Maybe thats why tracking is so helpful with eating control. Maybe one could make a list of what to eat all day and the would provide structure. Oh wait, a list of what to eat each day is called "a diet". Hmmmm

Liz I am with you on those pipes. You could offer some kind of a credit toward pipe repair if it's not needed right away. When we sold our last house we had a carpet allowance since we knew they needed replacing but thought the new owner should pick color etc. Whatever. The house we have now needed siding replaced so we took a credit toward it. 15 years before we actually replaced it.

CC sorry you are still sick. Wish I could "fax" some chicken soup to you. Nap in the sun sounds like a great remedy. Seems like when I have a cold the only place that makes me feel better is a hot shower. Or face over a steaming pot of water. Stay warm please.

Not much else. There is a huge pile of laundry to fold and put away but that is not on my list. So maybe I will do it and feel smug about my accomplishment.

I made a chicken sandwich for lunch with the costco chicken. most satisfying. Thin small bread and modest amount of chicken. Far smaller than a restaurant sandwich which I could not eat.

Still no signs of eagle hatching. Us watchers are in suspense....

Sounds like a great chicken sandwich - we just went out and I was super stuffed with 1/2 of my turkey sandwich (leftovers - yeah!)

We are thinking along the lines of a credit too.
