A precaution for our trip. Its apparently still quite prevalent in the more rural areas in dogs and some monkeys

Happy V D.... Best one in years because I ate nothing unplanned other than a 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries. I swear this is the first time in 30 years of teaching I did not partake in even the smallest of sugar laden treats.

SCORE BIG FOR ME! (I know for most of you, that's an easy do, but not for this kiddo!)

Liz, weight happens. The wonderful thing is you have what I like to call happy weight - weight that was gained doing enjoyable things like falling in love, getting married, etc... Your weight is simply evidence of the wonderful life you have been leading with Mike.

Tomorrow is the big 59 for me.... I hope it's not like my 49 year as it led up to 50. I had stress about turning 50. Not sure why, but I did. It's not like I could (or even want to) stop it, but I think that once out of one's 40s it's hard to pretend youth. I have a friend who turned 70 a few years ago and said it was when she turned 70 she couldn't even fool herself into thinking she was still young. I'm going with 60 is the NEW 40!

Not much else going on..... I must get on with dog washing, drying and trimming. Dog show weekend coming up!

I have bright red toenails to celebrate Valentine's Day, DH opted for no color. We were the only ones at the salon. I was surprised, I would have thought there'd be some galentine groups or something. Whenever DH does come with me, the nail techs just fuss over him. I remind him to not let it go to his head. :)
