We got a fair amount done over the weekend to prepare for the renters (which also will prepare for the move). Most of what remains will have to be done just before we leave. In the last few days here we will be packing clothing and refrigerated items to come with us to the Keys, as well as boxing remaining items to stay here in the owners closet or in garage storage. One part that is done is removing personal pictures of the family which makes it look a bit generic around here LOL.
We are meeting friends for lunch today but also have to engage a lawyer for the sale and negotiate the last sticking point on the purchase & sale agreement. Not fun (the latter task).
In the meantime it is time to take a walk and then go to yoga. Good thing I have had a couple of days to let my shoulders relax from the yoga workout Saturday. Have a marvelous Monday!
Newlywed rushing Valentine's date... you got the day right !! The scale is playing with my head today. I gained four pounds in a day. I know in my head that it is an anomaly that will clear itself, but at 68, it still messes with my head !!
Fun Super bowl to watch. Loved some of the commercials. Rihanna and the marshmallows... meh. Nice sunny day ! Sadie and I just got back from walk #1. Laundry in and vacuum next. I use the upright vacuum before I set the Eufy loose !

LOL on the date - more like fat finger typing! I just corrected it.
I agree on the game - definitely much better than usual.

Just shows how bad my attention span is - so many of the commercials talked about on the news today I don't remember seeing! And I was watching for funny ones. Two highlights - Chris Stapleton's Star Spangled Banner was the best I've ever heard. Made me cry like the Eagles coach. And the dog food ad with the aging Lab made me weepy. But the rest I thought were meh. Bring back the Clydesdales, I say!
Giant snowflakes here this afternoon. Even more tomorrow. The ground is warm enough from 62 degrees yesterday, so it's not sticking much. But it's cold and pretty.
I ate way too much yesterday. But we did walk. Onward!
Happy Monday!
I can say with honesty (and a bit of pride) I have never watched a televised football game from start to finish. Actually, I've never really watched one for more than a few minutes. Just not a sport I have ever really found enjoyable. I much prefer "real" football (what we call soccer in the USA). I can watch that no problem! The athleticism in that sport is mind boggling and enviable! I can also watch ice skating, diving, gymnastics, hunter-jumpers.... More of the individual sports seem to pique my interest. Knowing the teams that played yesterday was a big accomplishment for me! LOL!
Food journey is going along nicely. Like Ocean Diane, I jumped in weight on Friday, but it's back down today with no changes on my part. Just a blip. I refused to let it mess with me. However, I did take a break from tracking over the weekend. Back to it today.
Not much else. I just keep plodding along one step at a time.
Oh, puppies have hit the rough housing stage. But they are not good at it yet so it's a lot of fun watching them go at it and fall over and roll around.
Greetings all
Yep the super bowl was a good game. Except for the lame way the Chiefs won at the end. Declining to make a touch down just to drag out the time and make a last second field goal. Lame lame lame. What kind of player falls down on purpose one yard from the end zone.
LOL Ocean D - Rhianna and the marshmallows!! I actually did enjoy the spectacle even if the singing was mediocre. Made me sea sick to see people performing on those platforms.
GL on the house stuff Liz. Get a lawyer if you need to. It will work.
CC are the balloon people still out or are they staying down since the Chinese spy balloon was shot down? It would make me nervous to be up in one right now.
It's sunny here now but uber windy. Storm is supposed to come in tomorrow and there might even be a bit of snow.
I made goulash last night with smokey paprika. Pretty good and sure easy. More carbs than ideal. And we ate chips yesterday.
Ocean D you know it's impossible to gain 4 pounds of weight in one day. We all know this and yet it still messes with us.
Watching the eagle camera and the eagles have been leaving the eggs unattended for as much as an hour at a time! All the watchers are majorly worried as am I. Hatch watch starts in two days and it cant be good for the eggs to get cold.
Well time to go to the studio and see whats up. The midwesterner in me has the instinct to go to the grocery store to get stuff due to impending storm. But we don't need anything and it will likely be a one day event.
DH has a new bp cuff. I think it's the fourth one he has owned. Maybe more.

My weight was up this morning too! So no loss, then an indulgence Saturday, well then the scale can move! Geez Louise. But as I've already decided I cannot lower my calories much more, I am not going to worry about this. I am going to eat and exercise for good health and good quality of life.
I did my cardio workout and then added the weight resistance machines today. Oh my gosh WEAK! I've lost ground since last spring. Likely this fall when I was struggling healthwise. The good thing about starting at low weights is it doesn't take very long before you're upping them and seeing improvement.
Did I mention that instead of going out to dinner tomorrow, DH and I are getting pedicures together. Trying to find ways to celebrate that don't always involve food.
