Last night I made a new recipe from NY Times for easy chicken soup. It was very tasty and hearty. I believe it was actually pretty healthy too with little fat. I found that eating soup filled me up before a solid meal would maybe because I eat slower? I am a notoriously fast eater even though I know that I should eat more slowly. I think it stems from years of having little time to eat breakfast before school, then only minutes to consume school lunches.
Well, we made a solid offer on the condo. We shall see what happens. I think if it isn't accepted we will accept that we have made a decision on where we want to live and wait for something else with a similar size/view to come on the market. If it is accepted we will have some crazy time lining things up before our big trip, then returning here right after it to close and move.
Today looks like another nice weather day. First up is a Justice walk of course. We walked on the boardwalk behind the condo we are interested in yesterday and he met another dog already. LOL
Have a thriving Thursday!
The condo sounds great ! I like your "if it's meant to be, it will be" perspective ! Just got back from Sadie's off leash walk and I'm meeting friends in a park for another, in a bit. Have THE BEST Tai restaurant near me, and brought home leftovers last night. Liz, you made me think...it might convert into a hearty soup today ! Going to a Super bowl party Sunday. My active group of friends makes me realize just how isolated I was, between Covid and a mentally ill partner. So grateful for every day !

Liz that view is beautiful!
Yesterday my dad's wife and I joined my friend/financial advisor at the Phoenix Open. His company had a box there. My dad has a horrible phlegmy cough and stayed home. After days of cajoling, we finally made him a doctor's appointment against his wishes and are forcing him to go. I have so much sympathy when you are doing all you can to help yourself and zero when you won't get help and prefer to wallow in how miserable you are and make everyone else suffer while you suffer unnecessarily.
Anyway! We had a great time. And the people watching was off the charts. Easily 100k people many in crazy outfits and almost all inebriated.
Just administrative stuff to do today. Hope you all have a nice one!
How cool to go to the Phoenix Open! Isn't people watching fun? I love to imagine their stories sometimes.
Mike wondered where your box was located. He lived in Scottsdale a couple of years and is familiar with the course/event.
We might really be buying a new home!?!?!? Some further discussions needed on details but it looks like it may happen!
Greetings all
Starting early today by my standards. The sun is out and the sky as blue as can be. Its the kind of day that gives you energy which I will gratefully accept.
Great Thai food Ocean Diane! Sounds wonderful. We don't have much of that around here nor any other good Asian for that matter. Renews my intention for making that Thai coconut lime soup. And it's good to hear you are enjoying your new tribe and being social. Still doing Ma Jong?
CC I had no idea people drink at golf tournaments or that they dress up weird. Sounds like fun. And glad your Dad is seeing a doctor for the cough. The "no thanks I'd rather ***** and suffer" attitude gets old. And thanks for the picture on the Slow Horses set. How fun was that to see the filming?
Liz a new home! Love how you guys just "go for it". After a year of contemplating I still don't have new floors. That condo view looks great so I hope you get it. It's fun to watch boats. So relaxing.
Speaking of watching stuff, the whale migration is supposedly underway here though pretty much all you can see is distant spouting.
The deli meatballs last night were ok but not to be repeated. The dense protein reminded me I still have a good little sleeve on patrol if I would stop stuffing it with carbs.
We started watching the Fleishman show - something like "what's wrong with Fleishman" or whatever. Kind of a good show. And we love the show "Shrinking". Very funny.
Gotta hit the studio today to deal with my drying out items. And hair wash time. Such a whirlwind of activity!
Peps 4 week pups are so fun. Eating mush, standing in it, skating in it and looking at toys. Yay.
Almost time to spring into action. But first a second cup of coffee.. Diane s
