It poured buckets yesterday - more rain than expected but it finally stopped by 4 and we were able to take Justice for his usual long walk. Needless to say all the other dogs were taking their people for walks as well.
Eating yesterday was so-so, but I sure felt physically better. I got a few projects done like installing new toilet seats and getting our bedroom lights on a wall switch. Only a bit more than 3 weeks left here so in another week I need to start sifting through clothing to determine what I will bring vs pack in crates to leave here. We put up our garage shelves and brought bins for storage so I can start anytime. I should draft a list of to-do's so I don't forget anything like removing the programming on the thermostat so the tenants can control the temperature themselves.
Yoga today, then maybe pool or beach or perhaps golf. Have a marvelous Monday!
Greetings all
Suns out big today. Feels good. I picked up payroll, tax returns and a load of other studio stuff at the gallery. I sign the payroll so everyone is my best friend. Then I met with our director to advise her of her raise. She was pleased so I know we did the right thing. Studio is bursting at the seams and issues are arising with someone's item disappearing. Looks like a sort of senile woman glazed a fish piece made by someone else. At any given time there are hundreds of pieces in progress on lots of shelves so it's actually amazing there are not more losses. People are going to have to do better at marking.
Watched the Grammys last night. It was a good show even though long.
Poppy goes to the vet tomorrow. She has gunk in her ears and it's not going away with over the counter study.
We will have the remaining enchiladas tonight. Then the dinner planning begins again.
Good luck with packing Liz.
Well I just ate some potato chips. Now I don't feel good and I regret it. Why can't I learn this.
Off to check the eagle nest. Hatch watch in 8 days.

Checking in....
Not much going on here. Another Monday is in the books! i like getting Monday behind me. Mondays and Wednesdays are my least favorite teaching days of the week. Monday has a few challenging classes (3 or 4 depending on the day) and it is my longest day - 6 full periods and a change of schools mid way through the day. Wednesday afternoons are just hard - a 1st grade class with heavy duty behavioral issues, another 1st grade class of super high achievers with superiority complexes in a mixed grade/or combo class, and then I end my day with a low functioning 1st and 2nd grade special day class. There are only 5 in that class, but i need three other adults in the room to manage the kids!
I am continuing to log my food. interesting to log without dieting! Sure is helping me see where/how I lack nutrition, but have a solid level of calories.
Found a berry smoothie "mix" at Costco. Worth buying if you like smoothies. The "mix" is pre packaged frozen berries, kale, spinach, and banana. it's 100 calories per package. I think there are 8 packets in the big bag. The brand is Clovis Farms. I made mine with low fat milk and greek yogurt. All in all it was a 265 calorie afternoon snack. I felt a lot more satisfied than when i eat a handful of nuts for roughly the same amount of calories.
Hope everyone is off to a good start to the week.
Sounds like we all powered through our Mondays, and got some things accomplished. As to Diane's question, when will I learn? I for one am still waiting... I can't believe that this far out from surgery I can still get in a rumble with food that makes me feel yuck. The only learning I guess, is I do it much less frequently than when I was figuring out what didn't go well with my sleeve.
I was fine at school, and did not have to sneeze or cough too much, so hopefully wasn't spreading germs. I sanitized my hands each time I had to pass something to a student. One of the paras who was absent last week and is in my classroom 3rd hour told me she was out with a terrible cold Thursday and Friday. Bingo. There's not much to be done, I think in these sorts of settings we are rebuilding our immunities, and things are going to be passed around for a while.
DH used a recipe again and made a delicious roast. I could smell it's deliciousness from the garage when I pulled in. Things are looking up :)
My doctor did send a note that my bloodwork indicated I was dehydrated, and I need to increase fluids so I don't get kidney stones, which is a low risk, but still a risk from the topamax. Awesome. I'm going to keep trying to hit it hard these next few weeks, and if I don't see some scale movement (more than I could squeak out on my own) I will discontinue. I don't need to add kidney stones to my list of ailments.
I did read that topomax increased the risk of kidney stones.
Nice that DH has dinner waiting for you!!!
