We are hoping for one more day with above average temperatures to sneak to the beach, but it will drop to 70 late today/tomorrow with a front coming through and there will likely be showers. Usual winter weather pattern in Southern Florida.

The Topamax is still not doing much for appetite at least late in the day when I have my issues. I was somewhat dizzy again during the morning and early afternoon yesterday. It doesn't seem to make me more sleepy at night. We shall see what happens at the higher dose in a few days.

Not much on the agenda today yet as we are waiting to see what the weather will bring. Have a fulfilling Friday!

Update: I am still on 25 mg of the Topamax taken at night (day 4). I am dizzy as heck again so far today (it is early afternoon right now) and I feel gross if I try to do anything which sends my head spinning like dry my hair. So I am not hungry right now because I am semi-nauseated. I think I get hungry in the late afternoon as the effects wear off. If it continues like this I will have to stop using it.

I did not get dizzy. No bueno. That is not a side effect worth living with. I had weird dreams at first, and further in I get the tingling sensation in my feet sometimes. The appetite suppression was pretty notable at 50 mg. Not so much now.

It was -10 air temp this morning, with the wind -25 windchill, so not enough to close school. I don't know how to describe what it feels like except to say it hurts. It's actual pain on whatever skin is exposed, like your forehead. I see people wearing cuffed jeans, with booties and the no show socks, and I'm thinking I would never! The exposed skin on their ankles must hurt so bad by the time they cross the parking lot. No cute look is worth the pain. I don't even like to wear leggings when I'm out running errands on these sorts of days, because the weave of the fabric often is meant to wick off sweat and heat, so it lets in cold air. Yikes!

I wanted to take a nap before we go out, and DH said, I will too. Now he's blissfully snoring, and I don't think I'm napping. :) I'll always choose him and snoring than no him and silence, but once in awhile him and silence would be a super charming combo. He usually stops snoring as he moves into deeper sleep, but by then nap time is over. I may be heading to the guest room. :)

Some friends are going to join us at the cozy wine bar. The snoring husband will redeem himself by dropping me off at the door so I don't have to walk in the cold. It will be a nice evening whether I actually get a na*****t.

Cozy wine bar sounds warm too! Our temp is obviously no where near yours but it dropped 20 degrees in about 15 minutes this afternoon. It is the low 60's now and I wouldn't mind going out to a cozy place...

Greetings all

It's overcast today but surprisingly warm. DD I feel your pain. Remembering being in high school and having to walk home on a super freezing day wearing a pep club uniform (read:short skirt) and stopping in a couple of churches to get warm. Plus carrying books. Anyone who has not experienced sub zero cold cannot imagine it. Condolences. But the wine bar sounds great. Might there be a fireplace?

Hmm Liz not sure a dizzy making drug is worth it but maybe that will go away. Interesting how everyone reacts differently to meds. I took a bp drug years ago that made me cough until i peed my pants! Doctors explanation: a biochemical reaction.

Studio time today where I did glazing. I couldn't find a couple of items but I think I already glazed them and they are in the kiln and I forgot I had done it. I will find out monday.

So I will be making cheese crisps for tomorrows so called surprise party. Parmesan is the best cheese for it.

And there is much activity at the Winchester mystery house today. Ladders, people on the roof, tree trimming. Endless.

We watched the Elvis movie last night. It's pretty good - especially the elvis actor *****ally has it down. It would have been a terrible movie if they had the average elvis impersonator.

CC I hope it gets quiet for you soon and you have a beep free zone.

It approaching the hangry hour. I will try to stick with cheese sans crackers. Deli enchiladas later.

Remember how your ears hurt until they got so cold that you couldn't feel them? Incipient frostbite anyone?

The crew is gone! They will be back in a few weeks. Some little things that need tweaking, but mostly so far so good. It was overcast but the warmest it's been in a while. I got my hair done so it's nice to not have roots!

My das and his wife are back. Nothing planned for tomorrow.

DD, if it's any consolation, Mount Washington just recorded a wind chill of -104. The lowest temp ever recorded in the US...

Liz, dizzy and nauseous doesn't sound like a nice way to lose weight!

Hope you all are well! More tomorrow...
