"The life you want is on the other side of the **** you don't want to do." Very valid. (btw, I can see the s word so I am guessing there is some setting on OH for some people that blocks it?). I need flexibility (hence yoga) but I also think I need more control over my wine drinking right now. Two nights this weekend I over-imbibed. Not good. I bet if I stayed on a good path with both of those, control over eating would follow.
So... Off to yoga this morning and no wine. It is warm out today so I REALLY want to go to the beach. I haven't been there for quite a while.
Have a moving Monday!

DD, if you go into Settings - Message Board, if Adult Content is set to No, swear words are blocked, but not if it is set to Yes (I tested it).

It's a beehive of activity here today and this week. The A/V guys are here working on the bazillion dollar lighting/tv/speaker/security system project. Am I alone in feeling anxious when there are people working in your house? Hopefully after all this, I like what they've done!
It's back to freezing here today and a "wintry mix." The sun was wonderful while it lasted. Should be back by Wednesday.
Both of our teams lost yesterday, so football was a bit of a bummer.
Food was better yesterday and I did a 2.1 mile walk.
DD, your saying is so true! Lots of good things lie on the other side of exercise and healthy eating. There are so many good things on this side too, but some things in life are just easier with a fitter body...
So filled with anticipation as Peps is going to figure out why over eating is so hard to stop and then share the knowledge with us then he will write a best seller, and take us to some of the more fabulous stops on his book tour.
Meanwhile, I ate my nurturing, nutritious food. When I first pull back, I don't put limits on quantity, just quality. And then I did go and take a spin on the recumbent bike and push my heart rate up into the fat burning zone. I did fine. I think my lungs are ready to go and now it's time to build aerobic capacity and then add strength training. But I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. What **** can I do tomorrow that I don't want to do to get the life I want? I want to be CC and be able to strike out on beautiful terrain and know I can do the 5 miles. I think I've only got 3 miles in me, and they'd be pretty slow ones. I don't want to miss a thing in Scotland this July. I've got 5 months to get this "house" in order.
Liz, I hope you made it to the beach today. The high today was 1degree. I took a handful of vitamin D this morning. I think your way would be better.
Greetings all
Still sunny here. It looks calm but the ocean was pretty big. Crab boats are out now so I hope it's calm for their sake.
Yeah somedays the ****pile seems completely insurmountable. Best to approach things incrementally I guess. Sometimes a cocoon seems like a good idea. Oh well, chili is made for tonight and it's healthy - at least until I put crackers in it.
Gallery duty today and it was so slow. But at least I could sit by a sunny window and see the ocean. Nobody around but crab fisherman. I have yet to get any this year but am watching the little crab shack nearby.
CC I am with you- I am uncomfortable having people in my house doing work. Not because I don't trust them but it kind of wears on me like having company - like I have to be in a constant state of alert for the needs of others. And I don't think I will outgrow this. Actually worse as I age.
Liz hope you get that beach day. Looks perfect.
It's approaching the dog dinner hour. The girl dogs have had a rude awakening since I no longer cook special dog food. Kibble or nothing.
DD glad you are feeling better. 3 miles is pretty good. But you have to get ready for your voyage. Serious walking in order.
Peps still waiting for the secret of weight control.....(breath not being held LOL). Diane S
Yes, I think incrementally is the only way to approach piles. If I can bring in the mail, I sort at the recycling bin so half of it never even makes it into the house. But DH loves to bring it all in and just keep piling it up. Never mind that we've never bought pizza from Toppers Pizza in the 7 years since it opened, the coupon flyer must sit with all the other flotsam we will never use. On the weekend I sit down and sort it quickly, but if I turn my back ... Geez the piles grow...
