Off for another jaunt today - this time with Mike. DD is in Fort Lauderdale with BF for the weekend so we are going down for one night. I booked a short cruise for this afternoon since it won't be beach weather. Hopefully it won't be rainy or too windy. The last one I booked when DS came to visit was cancelled due to weather.

Time to finish coffee, walk Justice, pack and shower. Have a fabulous Friday!

Good morning !! Have a great meet up, Liz. Sending healing energy to Ron and Chip. I found out I have to do the two day prep for my colonoscopy to insure than I am totally clean and shiny, as I wasn't last time. Dr. was very concerned that my oxygen saturation level was 93, until I reminded him I was wearing gel polish on my nails.

Settling estates for my parents was so much easier because of the family trust they set up. Meeting with estate attorney next week, to do the same. I also revised my ICE (In Case of Emergency) card in my wallet with updated information and contacts. It also alerts that I have Sadie at home, if she is not with me. No, I'm not depressed or feeling unwell. Just too many friends and classmates passing, I guess. Living alone also requires forethought regarding Sadie etc. There was a positive to having someone know where I was, when I was due back, and who to call. A singular positive !!

I had the same on my phone emergency card when I had Fergus and a sticker in the house window alerting emergency persons that I had a dog. It's just good dog parenting!

We went out for dinner last night at a great restaurant. Everyone loved it! I was painfully stuffed, everyone else said they were comfortably full, so the sleeve is a thing still. Now if I only stopped when I was still comfortable, I would get somewhere...

Today I think I will do a hike. But it's still in the 20s outside (though sunny), so I think I will wait a bit.

I have a wasps nest in a bathroom fan and they are coming into the house (you can see them trying to get out of the fan - gross). They are gigantic. Maybe hornets? Are hornets and wasps the same thing? I called the exterminator and have yet to hear back. I think I will tape plastic over the fan until they can come.

Still waiting on the roof repair guy too. More rain/snow Monday, so I imagine it'll be after that dries out?

Anyway, off to get dressed...

Fab Friday to all!

Liz, to me who is working full time, your life sounds like you are on a permanent vacation! Revel in the wonder that is your life!

Interesting post on TT yesterday. I am still chewing on all the Bonnie wrote.

Puppies continue to be little pigs! Yellow's eyes opened yesterday. The other two will not be far behind.

Ron had a much better day yesterday! Hallelujah!

I'm still being faithful to my sugar rule. Not that weight loss is happening, but I suppose that's okay.... But a large part of me says, "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" in a very big, loud, but subconscious way.

My cold is wrapping up nicely. Nice to have a good, old fashioned, nothing to fear cold. LOL! Who would have thought 3+ years ago that I'd be thankful to catch a cold? LOL!

Best to all.....

Greetings all

Dear old Chip is gone. It became clear yesterday afternoon that this could not go on so we took him in and stayed with him. DH stayed, which he has not done before and bawled like a baby. It was so sad but it was the right thing. So our house seems kind of quiet and empty event though we still have two wild young dogs. CC you are right that the routine of medicine and care for an old dog can take over. But onward to give a good life to the young ones.

Ocean Diane you are wise to take care of that contact stuff and planning. It's a gift to those *****main to leave things well organized. I need to update my own stuff. One of these days.

Peps that is one big antler that Lovey has. I need to get some for these dogs though they have loads of yak chews.

Not much else. I will take some new art to the gallery today, run errands and stop in the studio. There is a bird sanctuary across the street and I am told that the night herons are there now. They are large and odd looking. Worth a trip.

It's sunny and calm today. Soon people will again be *****ing about the lack of rain. So it goes.

I'm so sorry about Chip, Diane. It's so darned hard, but oh my goodness, it's the kindest gift you can give a beloved pet who is suffering. You did right by sweet Chip. As my dad always says, he wasn't having fun anymore. And don't we all wish to not hang around too long after there isn't any more fun to be had?
