Only 8 days until January is over. Time marches on! I am going to start the prescribed medication this week even though we have planned activities. No time like the present right? DD, I know you talked about increasing the dosage - how much are you taking right now?
I haven't been to yoga or water aerobics since the holidays due to company and weather but am starting back to yoga this morning. They are have adjusted the schedule so I can now take yoga twice a week, which I prefer to the water aerobics (which I will go to once a week when warm enough). Time to get fit again!
In the meantime I am drinking coffee and have the dog snuggling as it is raining out and he would rather skip walking until it dries out (as would I).
Have a minimally stressful Monday!

More snow overnight! Gracious. It's beautiful this morning though as the new snow is sparkling in the sun. I think that's enough cold for me for a bit. My dad and his wife keep noting how they thought it would be warmer, sunnier, and less snowy than MI. So far it is, but not by much at all. Though it's been a very warm winter thus far in MI and an apparently wetter, grayer, colder winter than normal in AZ. The water is so needed so I won't complain about the wetter part.
As soon as the roads melt, I'll head to the grocery store for a few things. Soup tonight for dinner. And today will be a cleaning day.
Take care all!
Greetings all
Another sunny day which we gratefully accept. It's not unusual here in January to have a couple of weeks of sunny days. This year it's especially welcome since we had that terrible series of storms though it was not so bad for us. We did lose power yesterday for an hour or so and no clue why. Barely windy. But we got it back in time to watch our game and it was a good one.
I made a pot roast which was good. Old Chip enjoyed some. But old Chip had a seizure in the middle of the night last night. He had been free of that for a few weeks. So I gave him another anti seizure pill since the vet had told me we were not yet to max dosage. It settled him down after 30 minutes or so but it's all so disturbing. Not looking forward to what's ahead.
So todays mission is to get my hair washed, do some banking and studio errands, then go by the studio to see what's out of the kiln. I think I had quite a few things fired and it gives me a chance to get ahead of things for the gallery so my display is not empty like it nearly was. The gallery is a summer tourist destination more than anything so thats the time to be productive.
Soup sounds good CC. Sounds like you are having more snow than usual but it's ok. By all means let the roads melt before going out. Our pot roast will likely end up as beef vegetable soup.
Yoga sounds good Liz. Enjoy it. Getting into a pool sounds good too but I feel to chilled for that even though its fun.
Not much else. DH is busy updating all our apple devices and is demanding I do this iMac as well.
Any hey I found a new eagle camera - southwest florida eagle camera. Google this and you will find it. There are two fat chicks in this one. The cal chicks have yet to hatch. Diane S
Liz, I started at 25 mg for a week, then increased to 50 mg a week. My prescription was to increase to 75 mg, but when I got so sick with the embolism and Covid we decided that I would not drop my calories below 1,400 for awhile, so I just stayed at the 50mg. I didn't lose over Christmas, but I didn't gain either. With some effort, I think I could lose again at this dosage, but since it is safe for me to increase it, I might go for that extra bump.
CC, it has been a warmer, but snowier winter in Minnesota, so I would assume in Michigan soon. But subzero is returning the end of the week. One drawback to the warmth is that it has been pretty much overcast for weeks. The sun was out for an hour today, and I was so excited, but poof it was gone. I doubt its going subzero in Arizona anytime soon, so definitely the warmer place.
Diane you are taking such good care of the old guy, he is a lucky pup to be so loved. I still find it hard to believe we don't have a pet in the house. They add so much to our lives. I miss all of the sweet creatures. But lordy , it tugs at the heart to say goodbye. I hope there are still many more good, peaceful days for Chip before you have to say goodbye. An old boy should enjoy a few more naps in the summer sun.
Not much happening here, work, snow, early darkness... These are the days to spend time making plans to get the neck out of here! Florida in February, booked. Currently working on San Antonio/Austin for April 1-8.
Good for you! If I don't get started in the morning I don't go :(
