Good morning!

Popping up a placeholder. It's raining here still! And I have a roof leak. Argh. Thankfully (?) it's above the outdoor kitchen, so nothing is being ruined other than the roof and ceiling, which is stuccoed. My real estate agent gave me the name of a roofer she likes so I left a message. Not expecting to hear bac****il after the holiday. I imagine after big rains is when roofers get swamped.

My dad and his wife head to MN for his Mayo appointment tomorrow. A little alone time will be nice.

Hope all are well and enjoying the day!

That stinks that the roof is leaking in your new home!

Nice to hear that the pups are healthy, chubby, and that Mom is happy.

Thank goodness you got a rain break, Diane!

It actually warmed up over 65 here yesterday and the cold wind died down so golfing ended up being quite pleasant though I was glad I was wearing pants. I did my best yet: I made it over the water on the hole where one has to do that and I got a par 3 on that hole. My first par so far! We ended up having dinner at the clubhouse.

We leave shortly to volunteer at the Tennis Tournament being held at our club this week. DS is leaving in about an hour for the airport. It has been a nice visit though I think we are all tired.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Greetings all

Rain break so far today and even a bit of sun. Yesterday the rain started again just as soon as I opened my door in the Safeway parking lot. Oh well. And they had no eggs in that store! None! Guess it's the bird flu thing. Whatever.

Liz glad golf was fun. Thats what it's supposed to be. Sounds like things are hopping at the club. Enjoy.

CC sorry you have a leaky roof but at least it's not critical inside. Yep I bet roofers are hard to come by and lots are going to California. We are supposedly nearing the end of storms - one more coming - but we have not suffered other than a couple of power outages.

And yeah I hear you CC on that stove. It would be nice to boil water in 1 minute. But I hate those super sleek surfaces where everything is a touch screen that gets greased up and that you cant read in glaring light. Give me an old dial anytime. Ditto on screens in the car. What is wrong with a radio dial? And about those hikers in the road, it sure seems like people walk in streets with little regard for their own safety anymore. I hate driving through the town square area in arcata because everyone jaywalks and no one looks. And at night they wear all black.

Ant man is here spraying the house. Dogs are going crazy.

And dogs, Peps how are those little ones? They sure look well fed and adorable. What wonderful dogs they will be because of all the attention they get.

DD do you still have a ton of snow? If I understand the map, there might be more on the way.

I found a new eagle cam. Big bear lake eagle cam. There are two eggs now. I really miss the eagle cam from our bay. Those two did not come back.

Not much today other than pick up stuff from accountants and see what's in the kiln at the studio. Guess I will see what's in the 10 bags that DH brought home from costco.

Good Morning All :)

Another scorcher here today so a good day to be inside I think. Work is busy but the days fly..... so shouldnt complain. Picking up our grand babies tonight and Ive made a mango cheesecake for dessert. DSD is organising dinner.

Had a wonderful weekend at the concert and Blues Train - we stayed in Queencliff overnight at a 1902 Guest house. It was lovely. Got home after calling into store to order new Samsonite hard cases Sunday late afternoon - our soft case handles have been badly damaged by brute baggage handlers so figuring the hard case ones might fare better. We then spent 2 hours booking a lot of our trip. More last night and I am almost done. We like to pack a lot in and see as much as we can and we are certainly doing that! In 18 days we have 4 flights, 1 overnight cruise, 1 train trip & 2 private drivers organised. We have decided on & booked 10 tours - ranging from Halong Bay cruise, caving and kayaking, a cooking class, paper lantern making, Mekong Delta River, Angkor Wat Sunrise, City tours of Phnom Penh, Hue, Hoi An. I am super excited. Just have Visas and travel insurance to arrange plus local currency cash to arrange and we should be done. Its 45 days till we leave so will come up fast!

Cec - Sorry about the leak. Frustrating to have to fix up things that should have been 100% when you bought grrrr. Hope your Dads appointment goes well

Liz - Safe trip home for DS. You sound like you are mastering this golf thing :) Well done

Peps - beautiful puppies and chubbas - I love the pictures

Diane S - Enjoy the eagle cam :) Special How is Chip going? Thinking of you lots

DD - Hope you are enjoying your trip

Well I guess I had best get my butt back into gear. Take care all

I think the word "master" and golf are not really going to go together for me ever LOL, but at least it is getting somewhat more enjoyable which is my only real goal.

What a fantastic trip. It will be so exciting!
