So, it's really only about 11:45 here, but what the hell.... right?

Puppies all arrived today. First one came around noon. Last one around 9:30. I had so hoped that once the first one came, it would be a quick and easy whelping. Well, it was easy, but not quick. The waiting is exhausting! Sadly, the last pup has a few birth defects that will make her life untenable. If she doesn't pass during the night, I will have to have her euthanized in the morning. Ron is not able to handle home euthanasia, which would be my preference. I understand his thinking, even if it is impractical.

The 3 strong, robust and healthy boys will be known henceforth as the Three Musketeers! Athos, Porthos, and Aramis! LOL! Actually, I will call them by their color names as always; Red, Green and Yellow. However, collectively, they will be the Three Musketeers.

Having had very little sleep last night and given that I have most likely to deal with the puppy in the morning, I am taking another sub day. Practicing for retirement!

Food, of course, was very off today. I didn't eat until almost 4 pm and then it wasn't very healthful, but boy was it tasty and filling - a Five Guys grilled cheese burger. A little bit of Heaven on Earth, to be sure.

Definitely time for me to hit the sack. Maybe I will check in later.

The Three Musketeers! I love it Sorry about the female - tough to do I am sure no matter the cir****tances.

Mike is home! He arrived around midnight after a 1.5 hour delay due to the FAA flight stoppage in the morning. Justice was so excited to see him (me too)!

DS is on the plane in Boston ready to fly out shortly. We have a full itinerary day by day due to Mike's influence. I'd be more likely to wing it but he likes to make sure guests get a full experience LOL. So we have a plan for every day including bookings for dinner at a chef-centric restaurant tonight, a cruise on the intracoastal tomorrow, and golf on Sunday. And a schedule for all other activities around that. It is actually better his way though sometimes I have to make sure there is some flex time built in.

Time to get ready for the daily Justice walk. Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Aw congrats on the 3 healthy puppies and I'm sorry about the poor little girl. Sometimes it's not meant to be.

I'm waiting for the interior designer to get here. She was in Sedona for another job and was coming here after, but she must have hit a snag. I can't say designers are the most timely bunch from past experiences!

Yesterday I went to the local women's group monthly meeting which was interesting, and stopped at the store, but that's about it! Oh, I emptied 3 big closet boxes and 4 little ones, but they seem to multiply in there. Still more to do.

I finally stepped on the scale and regained 5 of my keto pounds lost from October/November, but still 8 under my most recent high. I count that as a win...

Take care all!

Greetings all

No rain here today or at least not much. Every person I know who lives elsewhere has contacted me to see if I am buried in a mud slide. People don't understand that california is 800 miles long and we are in the northern most 60 miles. But I am glad that people care and also glad to not be in a mud slide.

Yay on the three musketeers Peps. Sorry the little girl is not going to make it. But the gang of 3 will be great fun. Hope you can rest up before back to the 150 Ukes. Now I want to try a 5 guys cheeseburger. No such thing up here though the Lost Coast brewery makes a great one.

So I fed old Chip some organic chicken baby food. It came in the pouch with a lid designed by the world's most diabolical person. No clue how to open it and DH could not do it either. I finally just cut into it with scissors. I don't see why baby food should be impossible to open. Not like its going to poison anyone.

So I did the studio and various errands today. Stopped at the hippie grocery store for a couple of deli items and some chicken thighs to cook for the old dog. Yikes food prices are high. Note to self: good reason to eat less. But it's the healthy stuff that is so expensive.

CC good luck with the decorator. Yeah they are not know for practical stuff. But I bet she/he will be thrilled with the chance to work on your place.

So Liz, Mike is an organizer! Lucky you. Enjoy the activities.

A new scrabble club is starting. I will have to check it out.

Argh. I waited all afternoon and the decorator didn't come. I finally emailed her and asked if we got our wires crossed. She was horrified to have accidentally said tomorrow when she meant Friday. Argh. I might be less forgiving if I didn't love their style or if I had a long list of backups in the wings... But I don't like any of the other portfolios I've looked at. Too gray and modern everywhere. At least my house is really clean and tidy.

Off to make dinner...

Not a fan of lots of grey. But I may go too far the other way, I use a lot of color!

I say do what makes you happy! So much of what's trendy today looks soulless to me. Like anyone or no one could live there. I like personality in interiors.

Stated well - being too trendy or too neutral is a bad choice IMHO.
