Greetings all
Whoa CC and CC's dad, what a game that was with Tulane and USC. Exciting. Now we are watching the Rosebowl which is also shaping up.
But the main event today was Michael's computer impaired friend coming over and trying to resolve issues with the phone company and medicare. What a **** show. First, his hearing aids are broken so he cant hear and wants DH to listen to recordings and transcribe the web site they refer to. We were pretty sure nothing could get done because today is a holiday. True enough and DH suggested that but this guy is a bull in a china closet. So the phone company mission failed as did the medicare issue which actually pertained to his provider status. I don't think I have ever seen anyone so impervious to information and help. Worse, he is coming back tomorrow. I think this guy has some kind of compulsive disorder. I was planning on going to another room to watch football but this was like watching laurel and hardy try to move a piano!
So right after that the neighbor called and there is a large tree in the green belt behind us that is broken and threatening the fence and her greenhouse. That land is managed by our local service district so they are going to have to come remove it. Again, holiday and nothing happens. Who knows when that will happen.
As a result of all this I am eating Fritos. Not sorry. Hope everyone has a great new year!!

Oh, my! Got my show girl groomed to travel down to Palm Springs with a handler this weekend. I will miss going! It is one of my favorite shows, but comes at a most unfortunate time during the school year - right after winter break! If the proposed calendar for next school year gets approved, I will be able to go next year.
It's already past sunset and I feel like I have gotten much done today. C'est la vie, right? I tend not to get much done over my winter break anyhow. Mostly caught up on rest and sort of hibernated.
Got turned down for a coaching program because I have too much weight to lose. Perhaps disappointing, but I was pleased that the fellow was at least honest. Of course, my mind went to a "you're too far gone" mode of thinking.
Not to be deterred, I plan on moving forward with my WL efforts.
Liz, I'm glad to read that your SIL seems to be on the mend. Diane S, I couldn't help but smile reading your post today! Laurel and Hardy, indeed!
Have to work on lessons for the upcoming week. Booo! LOL!
Not much else to report.
