The stockings are filled and the presents are wrapped. Santa was too tired to do the stockings last night but accomplished it this morning LOL!
We had a nice time at DS's Birthmother's home last night. Mike felt comfortable chatting with her husband and BIL. We were home by 8 and in bed by 10 or so. Unfortunately I had a bit of insomnia last night as I wasn't feeling great. I feel much better this morning though.
DS is making a quiche for breakfast, then hopefully DD arrives late morning so they can open gifts here prior to going to SILs in the afternoon. DD and her boyfriend will stay over tonight. Lots more socializing over the next few days prior to flying back to Florida on Thursday. We are going to be exhausted.
Have a Merry Christmas!

One of my best travel memories: visiting the Christmas Story House in Cleveland. If you are a fan, it is a blast!!! A guy bought the house used for the outside shots, and painstakingly remodeled it to like the house in the movie. You can touch things, and sit on the furniture. I recreated the life boy soap scene, made a great pic. (I held the soap very carefully so it didn't touch any part of my mouth, DH was very concerned, you put that soap in your mouth everyone touched... Ummm I'm not that crazy!) Can you tell I'm a huge fan?!!!
We had guests here until 1am, not counting one unexpected sleep over because we didn't want adopted niece to drive back to Minneapolis in the dark, slippery cold alone. The last unexpected guest, one of DSs best friends who moved to Iowa was home visiting his parents came by to have a cigar and a whiskey with the guys around 10pm. It was lots of fun, but I'm tired! Time to pack up and head to my parents. Real break is on the horizon... Glad to hear everyone is having a nice holiday, and some of you are even enjoying the weather :) Peace, love and a helping of joy!
We are watching A Christmas Story 2 right now and will probably watch a Christmas Story Christmas later. And we had snow flurries all morning again. It was not forecast either yesterday or today so was a nice surprise (except in Justice's viewpoint).

Merry Christmas to everyone! Happy Boxing Day to Shirl!
Pleasant Christmas Eve here with my immediate family, my brother's mother-in-law, Pop's GF, and BFF. We were 8 altogether. Everyone was gone by 10 (including Ron who went to church at 9;30). I got the china all hand washed and put away, food put away, the kitchen scrubbed, the table leaves taken out and stored, living room tidied up, gift paper tossed, etc... all by 10:45.
I watched a little tv and waited for Ron to come home. I got to bed sometime around 1. I honestly wish we were not going to Ron's sister's today, but family is family, right?
Merry, merry to you all!
All the "festivities" do get a bit tiring don't they?

Greetings all
Well I have made the cheese crisps and started the cauliflower. Dog medicine given and soon I will get dressed to go to our friends. They live in a raised ranch house so there is no way in without a lot of stairs. Works for me so far but there is a lot to carry including the case of wine. Methinks it will get left down by the garage. But it's always fun and good eats. One thing I miss about Christmas past is kids around. We have not had that for years and years. But I did see some kids screaming down the street on what looked like new electric scooters! Looks like fun.
DD good on you for being flexible with the drop ins. Thats something that makes me cranky but I need to remind myself that it's good that such people are around.
We watched "Spirited" last night - the Will Ferrel movie musical that is a Scrooge story. It was ok but DH loved it. He is so cute he loves sentimental stuff. We played Christmas music and he cried. I think he is missing his childhood Christmas as his dad was a professional Santa. Everyone listen to Aretha sing Joy to the World and also the Temptations Silent Night.
Outdoor TV CC! Sounds like paradise. Enjoy.
Crab for Christmas is a tradition here but the commercial season is delayed. You can go catch your own but thats too much work. Guess we will wait and make do with ham.
Not much else. More later if anything interesting happens.

Morning All,
Merry Christmas to you all. Sounds like you are having wonderful days.
We are up at the farm and waking after not a lot of sleep! Uggg - our neighbours are down in the city visiting family and their dogs literally barked all night.
Our Christmas went really well. Was wonderful to have most of our family there. The boys were super tired- Elliot was literally falling asleep on my arm through lunch - so we popped him down for a sleep. Did him the world of good.
We are having a much needed rest day today. Its going to be very hot so a day in the mini house watching netflix n planning our holiday sounds oerfect to me. Oh and a nap too. No cooking required- we have leftovers for days.
Love to you all as you enjoy your Christmas Days with family & friends
