Today is Mike's and my Christmas. I think I am going to get him a golf bag from the clubhouse to add to the other small things since his is falling apart. He went with me to the pro shop yesterday and bought me a jacket with our community logo on it. He asked them to wrap it to put under our tree LOL. I am already wearing the more significant gift.
We were at the pro shop because we went to the clubhouse for a "techie" training class about taking and editing pictures on the iPhone. I knew about 90% of it but the other 10% was pretty interesting. Mike didn't know much of it and was a bit confused by it. Did you know that you shouldn't use your 2 fingers to zoom in before taking the picture on a newer iPhone? You should take the picture using the optical zoom choices provided at the bottom: https://www.iphonelife.com/content/iphone-camera-zoom-explai ned-optical-zoom-vs-digital-zoom. You can zoom in further when editing. We also looked at some cool filtering and lighting options. One neat thing in iOS 16 is that you can isolate one subject and copy them out of the picture to paste elsewhere: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/isolate-copy-share-subjects -photos/.
Anyway, time to finish my coffee and do a couple of errands. It is pouring out right now but we want to get a long Justice walk in once it stops. Tonight we are going for a pre-dinner drink at one restaurant and dinner at another - both on the water and were date destinations when we were first together.
Have a welcome Wednesday!

One last day of floors! You know how you spend money on some house stuff and it's not fun because you can't really see where it went? Roofs, furnace, etc. Refinishing floors is totally money you can see. I'm very pleased!
The sun is out this morning and boy does it show my east-facing windows are FILTHY. I actually enjoy the process of washing windows; it's satisfying to see the result and not terribly hard with a one story house. Though some of these windows are pretty high. I bought a squeegee/scrubber with a telescoping handle for my last house. That should help. Not today though. Too cold!
It got down to 20 degrees last night. Brr. 23 now and a bunch of crazies are braving hot air balloons. There aren't enough coffee thermoses.
Couldn't use my shower because of the new sealant curing, so I used the bathtub for the first time. Boy, that uses a lot of water. I hardly filled it. Feels irresponsible in a desert state!
Feeling my swollen finger joints this morning is a reminder that keto made that feel so much better...
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely day!
So glad the floors are turning out well!

Our mornings have been in the 30s this week. Since we don't get snow here except every few years (and even then it barely sticks), I do enjoy the frosty mornings when they come along. The bougainvilleas don't appreciate the frost, but they do recover.
I suppose CC that it's the 4000+ ft. elevation of Sedona that brings the chill and snow, desert state or not. I find the AZ high desert to be breath taking with a blanket of winter snow. Same with the Santa Fe area!
I ate horribly yesterday. I don't know what the deal was, but I went sugar carb crazy. Probably because I had access to way too much of that type of food yesterday. By the end of the day I could fell how lousy I felt. That in turn made it much easier to focus on better eating for today.
I was thinking about CC's comment about not maintaining but either seeming to be in weight loss or weight gain mode. Perhaps I am lucky that I have found a basic maintenance level of eating, even if it is maintaining at 70 pounds over where I'd ideally like to be. My goal for the holiday season is to maintain this current weight and reevaluate my personal wants/needs in January.
2 more days before winter break.... I have no commitments on Saturday. I am planning on staying in bed until I want to get up. Whoo Hooo!
Wonderful Wednesday to all!

Honestly, being able to maintain long term at a higher weight is so much healthier than yoyoing. So keep up the good work! I think that's a sign that all your tough work is working.
And for sure, it's the higher elevation! My house is at 4700'. Prescott to the south is 5400. Flagstaff is 6900.
Full sun out today! Only 41 and ice on the north patio, but it feels great in the sun.
I envy you maintaining even if at a higher weight than you like. I felt okay when I was maintaining last year but am very concerned about creeping up again now.

Greetings all
Yes it's cold here too even though the sun is out. I have been freezing for weeks! But I am off to the studio where it's warm on a sunny day due to windows and low sun. Yay.
Liz enjoy your christmas. Golf bag sounds like a good idea.
Lordy are you guys way ahead of me on photographs with iPhone. Only when we had the puppies did I learn to do a video and I still don't know why I have two cameras. All the features are lost on me.
Yes CC you can sure spend money on a house and not see it. I am very glad you are liking the work on the floor. Hard to imagine how your home could be more beautiful but you will enjoy the floors every day. And who would go up in a balloon when it is so cold, though I bet the scene from above is awesome with snow. My friends went to Egypt and did a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings and said it was spectacular. But probably not cold.
I am not eating terribly but also not well. I seem to be steady at this weight which is 40 pounds more than I should be. At scrabble my buddy and I were moaning about how it's hard to move around in our old age and we are afraid of falling. I am sure I would move around much better at a lower weight. But for now I'd rather sit and *****
Peps and DD, how soon is xmas break? Not a minute too soon I bet.
Time to do banking and such for the gallery. we are scurrying around doing tax planning.
Chip is holding steady and is actually eating pretty well. Of course he gets very fine food. the other dogs are pissed off.

Chip deserves his rewards. Good that he can enjoy it at this point in his life.
