Big news on TT! Very nice to see our friend so happy!

Yesterdays boat trip was fun. We saw a few dolphins and had a good lunch at the Tiki Bar in the town north of us. Getting the boat back into the slip was a little hairy but we managed.

Today is probably the beach club after our usual morning routine. Either today or tomorrow we will go to one of our favorite restaurants on the water with the sisters who leave Thursday mid-afternoon. It has been a good visit but perhaps a couple of days too long for us? Five days would have been good (they will have been here for 8).

I think most of my Christmas gift purchasing is done though I often have an "Oh No" moment just prior to the events. Hopefully not this year. We leave for the colder north in 10 days.

Have a timely Tuesday!

Haha, Liz, your shopping is done, and mine is not really even begun! DH has been consulted, and plans have been made, but purchases are just starting to trickle in.

Full moon must be coming soon, because school is in squirrel mode! We've got a few weeks left kiddos, perhaps you should pace yourselves before you wear this old teacher out!

Going out to dinner with the college roomies in a little bit. Its always a good time catching up. 40 some years between then and now. Always lots to talk about.

8 day visits? That's a nap. No, I do understand, because you're in entertainment mode. Takes a lot of energy.

Greetings all

An eventful day by my standards. Sunny but crisp. Scrabble this morning where I got eviscerated by the killer good player but did ok with the others. One guy is starting an anti hate organization to address homophobia around here. At a recent gay rights event there were a number of very serious haters who were quite vocal and intrusive . There are apparently some really nasty hate web pages and such. I had no clue all this nasty stuff was going on but don't doubt it. Wishing him luck.

Also saw my doctor today. My bone scan is still not quite osteoporosis and the heart test was normal. As usual I got the exercise lecture. Yadda yada yada. But as he pointed out, I should not wait until I cant walk to the bathroom before I decide to get moving. I was only up a pound or so which I attribute to winter clothing. Not much to report on the food/eating/weight front except we are down to the last of the enchiladas and I may have to go to store and or cook tomorrow. Thinking of a pot roast.

Old Chip has pretty much slept all day and not eaten. Little time left.

8 days of sisters Liz! You are more patient than me.

And squirrel alert DD. Don't you wish that kid energy could be transfused?

Cheers all. Diane S

Diane, that is great news that your weight is stable, heart is normal, and you've avoided osteoporosis yet again! All cause for celebration.

Homophobia in California! Really if people love one another what is more important???? Seriously who cares if they fit the traditional mold? A lot more caring and a lot less intolerance and anger would be really good for our country.

I really believe the hateful people are in the minority, but they have become emboldened and they make a lot of noise. The rest of us need to make even more noise. Thanks Diane's friend for getting it started.

Popping in at lunchtime to say Hi. The craziness continues..... I am counting the days. As Dory would say from Finding Nemo - Just keep swimming swimming swimming......

I have a pedicure and eyebrow wax booked for tonight. Im looking forward to it. Then it will be home for a quieter night. Last night was lovely at DSS - although our eldest grandson decided he would swallow a nut (the nut and bolt kind) at child care resulting in his mum taking him off for an XRay. I dont envy his parents/carers over the coming days as they do what is necessary to ensure its passed. The joys of boys - I love them to bits and pieces

Thats about all I have

Liz - Enjoy the last few days with the Clampetts - I understand the fatigue with having company for extended periods. We all need some downtime

DD- Good luck with the craziness too

Diane S - Thinking of you. This is the hardest part of owning a treasured pet x

Love to all that follow

S

Boys and the thoughts that pass through their heads. One time my son explained to me after he got into some mischief, " my brain said no, but my hand said yes" . Hope the little guy is okay and it all "passes" soon.

Oh boy - having to check for the nut is not fun. I hope it passes through quickly.

So when I went outside this evening, if it's not an official full moon it's darn close. I always think it's funny when I notice the kids are crazy BEFORE I know the moon is full. I believe we get "moonstruck" for sure!
