Day 2 of the sister's visit. Today will be a repeat of the beach club (like yesterday), then Happy Hour and dinner at the clubhouse. We will go further afield tomorrow.

I just paid the balance for our honeymoon coming in April and have most Christmas gifts purchased and being delivered up north. The bills for this month are going to be

Greetings all

A quiet moment, for now. Old Chip is sleeping. I got up early to get his meds into him. He didn't want to eat chicken skin so I had to liquify. Not sure thats ok, have a message into the vet. But I am enjoying the quiet house as DH is off to lunch at some place called the Greene Lily (that does not sound appetizing) and then to Costco and Target. DD I am like you and treasure time alone at home. Your friend needs to go bye bye. You have earned it.

My college 50 year reunion is next summer and we have some on line chats going about our experiences. I went to a small and rather expensive liberal arts school but totally value the experience. I know more and more how lucky I was. Yeah DD I remember sitting through loads of art history slides; gothic, rennaisance, and even Latin American. All knowledge is valuable. My mother, who was kind of a hoarder, was actually a hoarder of knowledge as lots of what she had was books and journals and papers and such.

Not sure what's on for the rest of the day. I should be picking up the house and do laundry which I will. But I will also cuddle with the old dog.

Liz, did Mike's family see your ring at Thanksgiving, or is he still planning on giving it to you at family Christmas? Great job on your shopping, I've done nothing. I did get DD's kitchen aid stand mixer ordered and shipped to her for her 30th birthday. It arrived yesterday, and she says she loves it.

Diane, enjoy your quiet time with your old guy Chip. Do you think you will attend your 50th reunion? I graduated with1000s, so I only see a select few. I would imagine it would be kind of lovely to share memories of those expansive years with a cohort.

Friday, Fridsy, Friday. Stopping by some friends house for a drink and chat this evening. Tomorrow dinner and a show with a group of friends. And then Sunday morning, I have brunch with Controversy Club. BFF can't crash that, as the group has a strict members only policy. Otherwise our discussions would turn into a free for all.

For now, I'm enjoying some tea, and considering a quick nap.

The kids have not seen it but the sisters have. I was having the 2 rings soldered together during Thanksgiving week so they would stop turning around independently and rubbing against each other.
