One day until the newer SILs arrive. The house is clean and decorated so we are ready. Just some planning to be done on activities.

Today we pick up my rings (I had the engagement and wedding ring soldered together so they wouldn't rub on each other), then probably to the beach for a bit.

I made our family's traditional chicken casserole last night for Mike's first experience using leftover chicken from last week. I haven't made it in years because deceased DH used to make it, then DS or DD. We had one meal out of it, then froze the rest (does well that way). Tonight I am making a turkey pot pie. A portion of that will likely be frozen as well.

I made some decisions on a few gifts! OMG! ONe day back in the salt mine and my weight jumped right back up 2 pounds. No clue as to why.... Sigh..... LOL.

One more day until Ron comes back home. While it has been fun and relaxing to have some me time, I'm ready for company in the evenings!

Not much going on here, though. Same old, same old is not a bad thing - just a little boring.

Hump Day thank goodness. Been up since 3am. My DS forgot to lock up our chickens & Mr Fox came. We lost 5 - 3 of our new layers! I hate that they suffered n moreso foxes- they dont just kill one so they can eat - its so senseless...

Had a lovely night with grandbabies. Eldest told me I am the "best Nanna in the whole world" It made my heart burst. Had lovely snuggles with my younger grandson too

Im sitting waiting for my bosses tyres to be re-balsnced then will head back to work. Our newest young employee broke his hand at Basketball onSunday so its taken him out for 6+ weeks. Its our peak season. Not ideal

Mostly sat around all day as it was drizzling, cold, and gray outside. I did have a board meeting which was in person and it was nice to see everyone! The irksome part was MI guy, who is president, invited some members of the public and promised everyone pizza so we didn't eat and then he call last minute and said he didn't feel good and wasn't coming or bringing pizza. Very bad form. Honestly, I talked to him earlier and he was fine so I don't believe him.

Tomorrow is my last full day. I'm ready to get back. I've enjoyed my visit, but there's only so much to do when it's not your home and none of your stuff is here.

Anyway, that's all I've got. I reaaaaaaally need to get back to the keto grindstone when I get home. Carb city these last days.
