CC, NOW it is Monday, LOL. I hope you made it successfully to MI without too many delays.

I went shopping and out to lunch with Mike's daughters and grandchildren yesterday. It was nice to spend some quality time with them though it was a cold, rainy, windy day here. Mike, his son-in-law, and his ex stayed at the house and watched football. Today it is going to be cloudy but warmer so we should be able to get outside and walk at minimum.

Tomorrow I am planning on visiting some of my friends here on the Florida west coast. I may go to my old development. I am feeling a little nervous about seeing the aftermath of hurricane Ian. Right now we are about an hour plus north of where the real destruction occurred.

Time to get more coffee. Have a munificent Monday!

Ha, Liz, hello from Michigan on MONDAY! Seriously, I even took my meds/vitamins from Monday's pill slot yesterday...

There was a ton of snow on the ground yesterday when I got in (only an hour late). But gale force winds from the west raised the temp to 37 and have been melting snow all day. They also brought some much appreciated sun earlier in the day.

My dad's wife is on the keto train and has lost 5 pounds (she really struggles to lose). She made us eggs and cheese in ham cups in a muffin tin this morning and chicken Caesar salads last night. Yummy. We did the Thanksgiving grocery run this morning (I need to go back for the bread for the stuffing on Wednesday). Thanksgiving will be a non-keto carb fest. We also went to the Secretary of State office (like the DMV, but they do all records stuff there) so I could renew my car tags for my MI Jeep and get a new license plate as my old one was corroding. The new MI plates are nice. Navy blue with gold writing that say "Water Winter Wonderland". I bet the color choice (Univ of MI) irks Michigan State fans! The SOS visit didn't take 5 minutes. Amazing.

Aside from that, I got the A/V people scheduled to come to my new house on Dec 2. So hopefully they can work on that in Dec. It would be nice if one thing was easy!

Anyway, tonight's dinner is beef filets with blue cheese and a creamy Parmesan garlic Brussels sprout and leek dish that looked good on Pinterest. http://www.viktoriastable.com/creamy-brussels-sprouts-and-le eks/ I can't remember the last time I got a recipe from a cookbook!

Hope you all are having a good day. Liz, when you say ex do you mean Mike's ex?? If so, how did I miss that was happening?!

Good that you got there fairly easily. And lucky you that you can do keto with your stepmother.

Yes, Thanksgiving week includes Mike's ex as do most of their family get-togethers. Works fine really. We get along well and it is great for the kids, especially the grandchildren. Family (and friends) is/are family as I have learned over the years. Step relatives, birth relatives, ex relatives, you name it. If they are good people and it works it is all for the good.

I think that's great! I don't think I know anyone personally with a non-contentious divorce, but it sounds really healthy for all involved if you can manage it!

Their divorce was apparently like war for the first couple of years but they put it aside when the grandchildren arrived. Best for all! And though I haven't dealt with an Ex much previously I did maintain a close relationship with my in-laws from my first marriage.

Was thankful to have a small bit of relief Sunday. I took yesterday off work and Im back today but really only half here. Hoping to be much better tommorrow - fingers crossed

Liz - The place you are staying looks lovely. So nice to be able to spend quality time with Mikes daughters and granddaughters.

So sorry about the vertigo! That sounds horrible! I'm only had a mild case of it once and even that was miserable.

I'm here until Dec 1. A little long, but why not!

How unfair, you finally have some downtime, and end up with vertigo! Ugh!
