Good morning! Liz is enjoying that awesome backyard with her family!
We're waiting to hear from our daughter. Her connecting flight in NYC is delayed. Plans are a brunch at my BILs house, I guess we will be arriving late! Hopefully we won't miss the whole thing.
The house is decorated. Yeah! Have a great Sunday everyone!
So lovely that your house is decorated and DD is on her way! Have a fantastic day!
Our arrival was fairly smooth yesterday though Mike has been a bit hyper about making plans for everyone, LOL. He feels like it is all his responsibility.
It is cold for Florida today: 60 and super windy. It is supposed to be rainy by mid-afternoon. It will warm up to the mid-70's tomorrow but rain may be off and on the next few days. All is going well though and we have found decent places to obtain food from (always the big focus on vacation LOL). Today I may go with some of the family to a high-end shopping area called Saint Armands Circle in Sarasota. The rest of them will watch football.
I just booked a trip for DS to visit us in Florida in January. It will be the first time he has been to Mike's place though he had visited me 4 or 5 years ago at my former Florida home. We are very pleased that he wanted to come. DS is starting the Christmas decorating today.
Time to get the troops motivated. Have a super Sunday!

I have thought it was Monday all day. I wondered why no one posted yesterday! Losing my marbles.
It was so nice staying at my friend's and leaving at 6 and not 3:30 this morning. Their home theater is an actual theater sized screen. Blew me away!! Only bummer was the pillows were really thick and I usually sleep on really thin pillows so I didn't sleep much (actually slept on a folded sweatshirt).
My second flight is delayed an hour so far (equipment problems two stops ago for the plane are piling up). But it still gets me in at a reasonable hour and enough time to tell my folks to wait to leave to pick me up.
I'm at ORD across from a Nuts on Clark popcorn stand and an Aunt Anne's pretzels. Torture as it smells amazing.
Have a good day all!
Greetings all
Thanks DD for getting us started today. Lucky you that your house is all decorated. Ours will consist of this little fiber optic table top tree which we have had for 20 years. Nothing like low maintenance. Anyway, hope you don't miss the brunch.
Last nights pot roast was delish. Very tender. This little small town grocery almost always has really good cuts of meat. The selection is small but I found just the right size. Good thing as even chuck roast, which used to be cheap, is now priced like steak. Another advantage to having a small stomach.
It's sunny and calm here so normal people are probably outside. Not me. Too busy doing laundry and playing internet scrabble.
Well there is lots I should be doing but will wait until I get my hair washed. Then I will think about tidying up.
Liz, be glad Mike is willing to help plan events. Someone in this house, who will remain nameless, does not do so except handle purchasing of unneeded electronics.
i am grateful I do not have to plan nor cook thanksgiving as we go to our grown up friends. I will take the bariatric friendly cauliflower made with parmesan cheese. Ditto parmesan cheese crisps which I will also make for our gallery party, assuming all the members have not assassinated each other by then.
CC you are truly a retired person when you forget what day it is. But consider that your routines have been upset. your new routine will include rock gazing by the pool!
Not much else but a few more loads of laundry. Peace all.

Happy Sunday! Not much from here. Same old, same old. Lots of grooming of other's dogs who want their Airedales looking smart for the holiday. 1 yesterday, 2 today, 3 tomorrow, 1 on Tuesday and Wednesday. I won't mind the extra cash.
Doing what I can to feel better about "spinning my wheels". Overall, I'm feeling pretty good, though.
The one thing that is report worthy is that I took my dad to the assisted living place yesterday to see the apartment that was available and he decided that he would like to take it! It's going to be a huge transition, but I'm so happy he has chosen it for himself.
Ron leaves on Tuesday....I'm looking forward to a "bachelor" week.
That's great that your Dad could make that decision. I hope it works out well for him.
