The play (Butterflies Are Free) last night was good but a bit too long in some parts. The acting and the set were wonderful. Our dinner at the restaurant was also really nice - a romantic setting, good service, and good food. It will definitely go on the list for special occasions.
Today will be relatively quiet but we have a busy week with 3 evening events and watching Bocce finals. We also have to shop and pack for next week when we go to a rental house on Anna Maria Island with Mike's family (kids, spouses, grandchildren, and ex-wife). I am planning what I will cook for the Thanksgiving feast as they didn't seem thrilled with the pies and breads I contributed last year. So this year it will be cornbread and mini pumpkin whoopie pies.
DD sent me a note asking about how to initiate the WLS process. I don't know if it is for herself or someone else. Interesting.
Time to get the laundry in. Have a strengthening Sunday!

Greetings all
Still drinking coffee in my pj's. But it's a beautiful sunny day and I am considering taking old dog Chip for a walk. He has been restless and pacing a lot and he is confused but I think he might enjoy it. This old lady can't go too far anymore so it's a win win.
We ate the brisket potato soup last night. It was quite good again. One more round. I sure like cooking for 3 days at once.
Liz sounds like you have fun holiday plans. I would not put too much into making the perfect bread or pies for this crowd. Sounds like they are more into the company. Hope it won't be weird with the ex wife.
Laundry awaits. How can two people who are fashion disasters have so much laundry? Answer: three house dogs who dig and one of whom is elderly.
Our thanksgiving plans are set with our "grownup" friends. I am to make cauliflower with parmesan cheese. An easy do for me.
This weeks mission: find a place to give me a haircut. And a dental visit, gallery meeting and the usual.
Congrats on passing forklift test Shirley. I had no idea there was a math test but it makes sense.
Cheers all
Diane S
Monday already here - how did that happen ......
I have been at work since 6.30am as I am playing catch up after 2 days off for the course. Will work back a little tonight to ensure I am back on top of things
The weekend just flew. Lots of cooking. I had some bananas which needing cooking so I made a double batch of banana and choc chip muffins and dropped 4 around to my mum then 8 around to my step son and his family. You know they have been enjoyed when the youngest grandson eats the paper too. Thankfully I saw him and stopped him but it made me laugh :)
Quiet night at home. I got takeout noodles for DS and I. DH arrived late into Brisbane after a very bumpy plane ride. He will be back on Friday. Not a lot else to report. Its raining here - so sick of it. Have just had to re-schedule todays jobs - its like moving tetris at present.
Glad you had a nice time at the play Liz. Diane S - enjoy laundry - it never seems to be done
DD - how are you feeling now?
Peps - Hope you are doing ok
Cec - How are you going with all the organising?
I had best keep tackling this backlog - it aint going to do itself
