Yesterday's yoga was good and we still took our 3 mile Justice walk. Rain showers are weird this weekend. It will be bright sunny and breezy, then rain like crazy for a few minutes, then return to the sun. It happened 5-6 times yesterday and already a couple of times today.

We are going out to walk Justice in a couple of minutes after the laundry comes out of the dryer. Nine holes of golf this afternoon. We shall see how that goes...

Nothing much else except that I am looking for a ****tail dress on Poshmark for a dinner we are going to on the 17th. I realized that I can't wear the one I had on Thursday again as I will see the same people. There are a lot of nice ones under $100 though.

Have a superlative Sunday!

Today would have been my parents 57th wedding anniversary. Hard to imagine that number is right. Makes me feel old!

Last night as I was going to bed a skunk sprayed VERY close to my rental house. And this place is a sieve and the heater sucked it inside through the poorly sealed doors and windows. Gag! I would be surprised if it didn't still smell like it in here and I'm just used to it. Ick.

Food is still good and finally with the addition of the electrolyte drink powder, all my puffiness is gone and the scale was down 1.6 today. So glad I didn't give up when it was creeping up! 15.4 overall. Sadly, still 24.2 to a "normal" BMI. But my clothes will start to fit in another 14.

Ooh, the time changed for all of you and not for me! Weird. I like it.

Today I'm going to Target and Home Depot. I need a ladder, which I despise climbing due to fear of heights. In my previous house, being tall I could do most everything with a step ladder. In the new house, I'm going to need something higher. And I need to put up the bat deterrent I got for the front entry and the ceiling is up there.

In disappointing news, the face wash I have used for 35 years (Purpose) has been discontinued. What will I do? I have such a weird combo of dry, sensitive, acne prone skin that anything moisturizing makes me break out. And anything that doesn't make me break out makes me flaky. Queue the expensive attempts to find something similar.

Anyway, should be a beautiful day here. Hope it is for all of you too!

Lucky you with no time change! And good job on the weight loss.

Sort of funny story: My SIL told me that a guy she worked with who was always well groomed came into work and was walking around smelling like a skunk. Someone finally told him and he was so embarrassed. He had gotten sprayed, but cleaned up afterwards and thought that he was fine because he couldn't smell it. It definitely is one of those odors that you lose the ability to distinguish for a while once it gets into your nostrils.

Funny! But also a legitimate fear!

Posh mark is a great option, especially if there are specific brands you know well and how they fit you. My daughter buys winter coats off Posh mark and has a very stylish collection now and low, low prices.

CC, whatever you end up having to pay for the right facial product will be worth it, because you can't have your skin all irritated. My daughter lives your fate too, she has super sensitive skin and scalp, and has to spend more. She has seen me use hand cream to moisture my face when I'm out of my regular stuff and it drives her crazy. She'd be an inflamed mess if she tried that.

Speaking of DD she just texted she'll be able to spend 10 days with us over Thanksgiving because she can do a combination of WFH and her Graduate Studies Program online. Normally the Graduate Program is all in person. This makes me very happy :)

DH gets home tonight, but then leaves tomorrow for Boston. DD has very a large kidney stone that has to be pulverized by sonic waves. It's out patient surgery, but since it involves general anesthesia, we thought one of us needs to be there, just in case. She'll need help that day, and the day after.

I slept really well last night, still coughing, but maybe less than yesterday, hopefully moving in the right direction. Good lord this is hanging on. I will go to work tomorrow. No students, its a day for grading and posting grades, as Friday was the end of Quarter 1. Yes. 2 and 3/4 years to retirement.

Greetings all

It's overcast and cold today as it was most of yesterday at the gallery. even so, we had pretty good sales and visitors. I turned the furnace on for awhile. Some of our members don't know how to work the thermostat but I do. Today I need to take money to the bank. And I got some more insight on the person who is quitting the gallery because someone wanted to edit her precious by laws. Other people think she is nuts; not just me. Now I am slightly feeling sorry for her because her own weirdness is messing up her life. But not my problem.

CC I used to use that Purpose soap. It's great stuff and sorry it's going away. I used to have terrible time in the winter when over heated air messed up my face. I had to use a cortisone creme when I went skiing because of all the indoor heat and cold gave me this rash. My skin has calmed down since we moved to the moist climate. Hope you can find new product that works. And DD, I have to use and hand lotion that also works on my face because I am bound to touch my face and therefore cant use a hand lotion that will trash my face. And boy are they out there. At the pottery studio we keep various hand cremes because you have to wash your hands so much but lots of them have all kinds of weird herbal smells that i do not like and which will for sure wreck my face. So wishing you luck CC.

Liz good luck in the dress search. I don't think i have a dress to my name these days.

DD glad you are continuing to rest but sorry you still don't feel good. Glad the thanksgiving plans are shaping up.

Today's activity is to go to a friend's house to see her new dog. It's a 7 month old border terrier who did not work out as a show dog. This friend is a wonderful person but sort of a compulsive talker and I may have to make up some thing to escape after awhile. I seem to attract such people. Probably because I am a listener.

Our football team showed promise early in the game but then fell all over themselves and lost in the end.

Crap. Rain is starting. That means muddy paws all over the sofa covers. Might be a good day for soup.

Everyday is a good day for soup in my book, but especially rainy days. I just love soup.

Your description of the hand lotion smells reminded me of the overpowering smell of the Whole Foods beauty section; they never met an unguent they didn't think would be improved by massive doses of lavender essential oil. Blech. I hate the smell of lavender!

I so agree, the natural foods health departments have loads of stuff that reeks., it's so irritating. Even walking down those aisles can make u dizzy. Scent, or lack Thereof , is important. Hope you find a good product and share it. I used a crème called candermil. Or something but it's not made anymore. Allthegood stuff disappears for trashy stinky stuff.hope you fing a good thing, I have reverted to old dial soap which is not ideal but relates to childhood.

tell Us if you find a good one

cheers diabec
