Just another warm, sunny day. The weather has gotten really nice here. I love this time of year in Florida when the mugginess abates and there is a warm breeze. I do NOT miss driving in snow/ice, CC. I would skip going north for Christmas if there was any way to have the family come to us, LOL.

Yesterday we went to Happy Hour at the clubhouse because it was outside and had music (as opposed to the previous Friday night events which have been inside). We ended up chatting with lots of people but never heard the music because it was too subdued. I ran into a woman I had met at a restaurant when I was first here and she was looking for a house in the area. We had continued to bump into her at the same restaurant periodically over the last couple of years ultimately with her boyfriend. It turns out that the boyfriend owns a home in our neighborhood (there are many in our development) though he lives with the woman in another development now. Small world.

Time to get ready for yoga. I forgot it was this morning until Mike reminded me.

Have a sterling Saturday!

I envy all your access to live music. I like both scenarios, music in the background, while we dine and chat, or music that is the focal point, no talking, attention is paid to the stage, applause, chatting only between sets... I too am weary of winter weather driving. When I was younger I would just get on with it. Now I am more likely to change plans if I can when the weather turns bad. Sometimes you just have to head out regardless, because the show is not cancelled, the event is going forward...

Not the best night's sleep without DH here. He's rarely gone overnight. I did finish a book I started last wee****pt reading until I was done, until about 2:30am. That probably didn't help either. I find if I stay up too late, the sleep window closes, and I just mostly doze from then on.

Plans today: take a shower. Very ambitious. :) Still coughing, congested. Some people have Covid, and describe it as a head cold. Mine is behaving more like influenza. Maybe because it's my first infection? At any rate, I'm glad to have avoided it until 2022. An ER doctor told me he hadn't had to hospitalize anyone for Covid for almost a year. That's good news.

I hope yoga was rejuvenating Liz! Great way to start your Saturday.

COVID seems to be different for everyone. It was like a mild cold for me both times (before vaccinations existed and after vaccinations/boosters). Mike had chest congestion the first time but just the mild cold type the second time.

Good Morning All

Sunday already here- DH is still sleeping. We had a huge day of work yesterday! Got a big batch if coconut chicken curry & silverside in the slow cookers then headed to my mums. Her yard was long overdue for a big tidy up. After starting to trim the shrubs in the driveway I quickly figured out we would need a skip. Lots achieved and shes very happy. We started on her back yard but needed to finish around 4.30pm so we could make her dinner. She enjoyed her silverside with mustard & paremesan sauce, mash, cauliflower with cheese sauce & steamed veg. I also sent her home with lots of meals I had made her. Will post some photos on TT later today. John & I have agreed that next time we need to wait till my sons are available to help as us oldies pulled up very sore last night!

Today is bath day for 2 smelly puppies. More washing & I need to finish off bulk lot of Fried Rice Plus do the weekly meal planning. We will then head over to mums & do more yard work. It will likely take several hours tommorrow after work too. Mum insisted I take $ to buy a nice takeaway meal tonight so we can rest.

Liz- your weather sounds perfect. Both John n i got burn yesterday - oops. Havent seen much sun

DD- Hope you are able to have a restful nap today. I find sleep helps me heal a lot quicker x

Love to all that follow. I had best get my butt into gear. Wake up these sore muscles

It's true, sleep helps heal, as does rest. Shirl, I am very, very good at resting. You are good at so many things, but I'm not sure resting is one of your talents. :)

Your Mum sounds like she really appreciates all you do for her - that makes it easier doesn't it?

Lazy morning! I talked to a friend, but not much else. I have things I could be doing, but meh...

Yesterday the closet designer came. Small world, before he moved to Flagstaff he lived 2 miles from my CA house! I think what he designed for my closets will be great. Not inexpensive in the least, so I hope they are great. I'll know in 14-17 weeks (eek).

Food has been good and I was down a half pound today. Yay!

Otherwise, I'm not doing much today. Maybe I'll go take a walk.

Take care everybody! Shirl, sounds like your yard clean up was a success (minus the soreness)! DD, get lots of rest. Liz, hope yoga was nice! DianeS, glad your Halloween party was a success. Maybe line up the floors? Lead times are nuts, so it may be Spring before you need to move any furniture and gives DH a deadline to clean out his mess... Peps, miss your updates, even little stuff!

Closet designs! Lucky you! I am just happy to have a walk-in to myself here in Florida. I just have a regular double-closet on Cape Cod (though I use the one in the spare bedroom for spillover. It is always hard to find things though.
