I was up at 6 am this morning after lying awake from 3:00 on. Hopefully that doesn't mean I am starting a several day bout with insomnia again. Too much going on every day this week to be tired all the time.
Yoga seemed really hard yesterday - harder than the week before, but strangely my shoulders which are the most inflexible part of me are not as sore. I guess that is a good sign?
CC, it must have been wonderful to finally walk through your new house alone and be able to visualize the move even though you had to catch the little critter.
Time to get changed and start laundry. Might as well get it done early since I am up.
Have a sweeping Sunday!

Not much new to report. As you can imagine, I'm not up to much of anything. :) Liz, I sure do hope you're not into insomnia again, that is not any fun at all.
We watched a movie on Netflix called The Good Nurse with Jessica Chastain. Based on a true story, mystery suspense. Would recommend. We also started a new to us very dark comedy series called After Life with Ricky Gervais. I love dark, twisted humor, but it could be a bit much if not your cup of tea.
The weather here is unseasonably warm and quite lovely today. I might take a blanket and wrap up and sit on the porch for a bit. I told DH I can't hand out candy tomorrow, so he will need to decide if he wants the job, or if we're shutting it down this year. No candy had been purchased yet, but we usually do wait until the very last minute to reduce candy grazing opportunities.
Sitting on the porch and enjoying fresh air sounds very healing!

Greetings all
Still preparing for Halloween. I have to do it in bits since I am just too old to scurry about at the last minute. I will go up to the gallery today to borrow a few chairs. But I learned there is some kind of reception going on for two of our artists so I don't want to interfere with that lest the gallery police put me in the stocks. Truth is that probably nobody is there because it's a beautiful fall day and everyone is outside. I need to take some art up there and do my cash depositing.
And speaking of Halloween, they had this thing called the Witch's Paddle last week where people dressed up like witches and paddled boards and kayaks out around Trinidad bay. Looked like fun. Very funny. I think it was not just here. DianeO, did you dress up and paddle?
Hey DD sounds like a good day to be a "Porch Potato". Go for it. And maybe someone will bring you hot tea.
So in the middle of yesterday's carpet cleaning circus my studio buddy shows up with her new computer router and wants DH to help set it up. So he did but I am not sure all messages were received. Anyway she did tell me that she is not coming to Halloween here as she is too worried about crowds of people with covid and other respiratory stuff. She does have lung conditions and I respect her need to feel safe. Not sure if she got wind of the fact that everyone thought she was horribly loud last year but so be it. Things work out. The house is still a disaster but the carpet looks pretty good for being 30 years old. And mercifully it's dry now which is why we had to get it all steamed yesterday so there would be drying time. Oy vey. So I am washing all the bathroom linens and shoving stuff in every possible cranny to clear the kitchen counters.
CC a house lizard! Well they eat bugs don't they? I see it as a good omen. Better than a tarantula. Do you think any kids will come to your new home or is it not the neighborhood. A local church is having trunk or treat out of cars in the parking lot. I suspect for most kids it's not an alternative venue but rather an additional one. More candy. Speaking of which my neighbor is boycotting giving out candy as a protest against GMO sugar. Ok I guess.
Our team lost pitifully yesterday. Oh well.
Thats about it. I made shrimp with peas and a little rice last night. We have a huge amount of halloween candy stored away and I am not tempted to eat it. Chips and carbs are another matter.

Back on the keto wagon after the pizza the other night. I found the pork carnitas from Costco are delish with some avocado, sour cream and a little cheese (and tabasco).
I went back to the house today with some of my things from then rental. Today the internet didn't work except for a minute spurt here or there. The internet company doesn't seem to work on Sundays so I need to call tomorrow. The wifi was connected, but not internet to the wifi. And I couldn't find anything to rest. Grr.
I also went to the next town to go to Home Depot. I bought a dolly in case I want to move any furniture with my friend after it gets here and two new garbage disposal flanges as their were caked in mineral deposits which was gross. Ah, water well life!
My only real success of the day was getting my car's garage door buttons programmed after 10 tries. Still can't figure out how to open the neighborhood entry gate with any of the three remotes they left me. I need to call the HOA tomorrow to ask.
Tomorrow is my doctor's appointment. It'll be nice to get that established and done. And more administrative phone calls!
DD, it's been so nice and not windy (which is very unusual for this time of year - gales of November of Edmund Fitzgerald fame) in MI, that my folks are taking daily walks on the beach of Lake Michigan. Unheard of this time of year without the wind freezing your face off. But they really could use the rain.
Take care all!
I hope that Home Depot is close! Every time I move (even to Mike's) I have ended up making multiple trips to whatever hardware store is closest. Readjusting, bulbs, you name it...
