Greetings all
Today's score: DH was out chopping up leaves with the lawnmower. neighbor comes over and asks if she can have the leaves for her compost bin. Seriously? Hey neighbor you can have all the leaves you want. This maple tree was a little stick when we moved here but is now a beautiful tree. But it really drops a lot of leaves. So compost be my guest.
I actually got some things checked off my list today like gluing my little wine stoppers, ordering Halloween food, doing some work at the studio, getting to the bank to get cash for latest improvement project, laundry and cooking dog meals. Yay. For some unknown reason DH decided to roll up the huge area rug we have in the living room. Yeah its trashed and will be going but I was going to leave it be until we get to redoing the floors. Makes no sense. And it's only half way rolled up due to furniture which I sure as hell cant move.
Paula sorry your Dad is failing. It's never easy no matter how long and wonderful a life. Seems there is always a glut of mixed feelings. But good on you for exploring retirement. I recommend the book "Your Money or Your Life" which helped me retire at age 50.
DD so sorry for your medical stuff. Do they know what caused these clots? Glad to know there are treatments but who needs this stuff. Please don't worry about food/eating. It's time to nourish yourself. We are thinking of you.
CC yay just a couple of days until you get into your new home. It will be so fun. And I never thought of a sofa as being a power generator but makes sense. Probably made of some kind of polyester. Could you toss a cotton sheet over it to limit static? Or I guess just not worry because soon you will be out of there. Have fun when friends come.
Well its dog dinner time. The old one continues to go down hill. He is easily startled and very confused. Oh well. He still eats.

The old dogs slow down little by little just like us don't they? Sometimes the last year or so is tough on rugs, etc, but we must help them on their way. I always miss their presence so much when they are gone.
