I just read the Tuesday posts about static electricity. I guess it makes sense that with that extremely dry air in Arizona that there would be a lot. We get some in Massachusetts in the winter, but not that bad and there isn't really any in Florida. You may recall that when we were in Arizona in February I complained a lot about dry skin and dry sinuses.
Today we will make our way back to Cape Cod, stopping in Newburyport on the way for lunch. It has been a really good visit and the timing was perfect. My SIL has her second round of chemo tomorrow. After the first it took about 2 weeks to feel like normal. She has felt good this week though she has to be careful not to strain her back which "cracked" a couple of months ago. I think the brittle bones may partially be a result of her cancer therapy though she had osteoporosis previously. So much for her to go through.
The Inn we stayed at here is historic, clean and comfortable. But the stairs to our second floor rooms are treacherous. And all the doors into the house and rooms have these locks with codes which they sent via email so we have not seen a single person other than each other since we arrived. Kind of weird. But it was less than half the price of the Sheraton in the area and has a lot more character.
Time to get more coffee (there is a Keurig in the hall). Tomorrow at this time I will be on the way to the airport. I am missing Mike and Justice a lot. Have a thriving Thursday!

Oh, I like Thriving Thursday!
Not much new since yesterday. LOL! I was sort of wiped out yesterday afternoon and indulged in a lot of nothing. I "should have" trimmed Blitz, but I didn't. I'll get to it this weekend. It'll be fine.
Young Apollo/Paulo has some listening issues. He gets so focused on play that he doesn't respond to voice correction. His new owner will have to work on getting him to be responsive to voice. He's got such a positive attitude, though, that he takes correction super well and doesn't pout or get his feelings hurt when corrected. I guess I don't realize how much I teach the pups who stay with me just by teaching them day to day house manners. Perhaps it's second nature to me.
Food.... Ugh.... not bad, but not "good". Just is what it is for now.

My new hair person here is really good and really knowledgeable. How lucky am I to have to found her!? She does color stuff my previous gal never would have known to do. And she is a curly hair expert who is fascinated by the fact that I had stick straight hair up until 15 years ago and now have "amazing curls" according to her. She dried my hair curly yesterday and I could hardly believe my hair could do what she made it do! So fun.
Made it through yesterday easily food-wise and took a 3 mile walk that went fast as I was talking with my friend on the phone. I love AirPods. And I was down another 0.8 pounds today to 212. Crazy. Last time I was 212 was in May and from my records that was a weigh-in after a month of ostriching as I was up 9.6 pounds from April. I was also 212 in March, so from March to May I lost 10 pounds and then gained 9.6. I am a yo-yoer. Proving my pattern that I am either gaining fast or losing fast and rarely maintaining. I still have a lot of mental work still to do regarding using food as a coping mechanism...
Just an administrative day today. A walk later. I think that's it!
Greetings
Its fog city here today. Really intense. I kind of like the fog but others hate it. Not static electricity in the fog for sure.
I stopped in the studio. Made some figures and chatted with a friend about how old and forgetful we are becoming. Oh well.
Icky steps Liz. Be careful. I remember a small hotel we stayed in in France where the stairs curved and you had to stoop over to go up them. No way now.
Peps I have no doubt your pup will be better behaved when it goes to its new home. And I hope you can do some serious sleeping and loafing.
Getting ready for Halloween by starting the calls to guests. I tell everyone they have to get here by 5 pm as there will be no where to park on the street if they wait. Its that crowded.
CC glad you have a new hair person that you like. Your post reminded me that I need to find a place for a haircut. There was a person on our small town facebook page seeking new hair clients so I called there. No call back. Great. Same issue as the last place. I might have to go to the dog groomers.
No thoughts on food and weight except I wish to be thin and what can I eat next? More deli enchiladas tonight. They are chicken and the filling is nearly all chicken so I tell myself its good protein. I think the deli makes them out of their unsold roast chickens. Works for me.
Thats it. DH makes a big costco run tomorrow. Glad I get to skip it.
