I will likely be boarding my plane at this time tomorrow morning. I have to get up around 3:30 am. Yikes! But it will be worth it.
I used the new washer and dryer for the first time yesterday and they worked beautifully. I even have an app on my phone so it can tell me what time it is done. And it was MUCH faster than the old, cheap ones. They were by Amana and I hated them. The news ones are GE Profile with a much larger capacity. The washing machine is a top-loader with an agitator because I don't love front-loaders. But did you know that they have top-loaders without agitators? They are supposed to cause less catching/tangling, but how can a spinning bottom really wash the clothes properly??? The salesman acknowledged that people do sometimes complain about their clothing not really getting clean. You think???
We are leaving shortly for our usual Sunday breakfast out, then driving range, then football watching. Dinner is leftovers from the WW recipe I made the other day and salad. Nice to have a low-key day and get ready for my trip. I am actually not packing much as my cool weather clothes are all up North.I am bringing a significant size carry-on though as I have stuff up there that I forgot to pack in September and want to bring back.
Have a superlative Sunday!

Greetings all
Washing clothes in our 20 year old washing machine. A maytag. I like it just fine and fear new appliances because I don't understand all the digital codes. Its taken two years for me to learn our new microwave and I still draw a blank on the new toaster oven.
So the reality of Halloween is closing in. I will have 10 people here so there will have to be a Kids table in the living room. Maybe I can put my overly talkative loud friend there so she does not offend everyone. As usual the big challenge is getting all the crap out of the living areas. DH has kept his promise and has moved about 10 boxes of crap out of the kitchen. Still much more in the living room. Now I need to clear the tons of junk mail and stuff off the table. The carpet is a wreck thanks to 30 years, 3 litters of puppies and a geriatric dog. I will order meat/cheese trays from the deli and that will have to do. Staying clear of gallery duty. I am wondering if its too tacky to serve box wine as I can hardly open a wine bottle any more.
Well our team lost last night but they turned in a respectable performance. Close one. So we can live with that. I brought home pizza after gallery duty - there is a very good little pizza place by the gallery - so no cooking again tonight.
I would not want a side loader washer. How do you open it and add a couple more things while it is starting up? No problem with the top loader.
I think I will go to the studio and work on my owl figures. If I stay home I feel like I have to do house work. Ick.
Well nothing to either implode or explode about today. Unless I come home and find DH has brought more junk in the house.
Cheers Diane S
I loved my machines in my former Florida home. The previous owners had bought them used in 2000 and they still washed and dried great. The new ones are only made to last 10 years!!!!! Oh and they all lock the door once they start LOL. This one has dials so isn't too digital. It is fairly obvious to use as is (though I do love the app).

Food still good and exercise too. Scale was down 0.4 today. I don't want to jinx myself, but I feel like I might be finding my groove again. I've been watching Dr. Eric Berg videos on YouTube (only thing I take issue with is he's a chiropractor and I have a lot of side eye for chiropractors who veer away from skeletal concerns). He seems very knowledgeable though and is a great explainer. And he has practiced what he preaches and transformed himself and looks fabulous so I don't think what he preaches is bunk. And with 8.66 million followers on YT, his message is popular. He is pro-"healthy" keto (healthy fats, grass-fed meats, non-processed foods, loads of non-starchy veggies) and pro-intermittent fasting and very anti-sugar. It has inspired me as I have really been struggling with the hold crappy carbs have on me. I'm not sure what I'm doing other than cutting out the crap and heavy carbs which I know in how they make me feel are a big problem (foggy, sluggish, tired, puffy, easy weight gain, cravings), focusing on veggies and protein and not fearing fats.
It's chilly here today and sunny after a night of rain and storms. I think a late afternoon hike is in order after the day tourists head out. Otherwise, doing laundry. Exciting!
Take care all!
Crappy carby foods are so addicting yet make us feel so yuck. Weird.
