Greetings it's me!

we are here in Omaha for dh class reunion. It's fun! All the ladies cluster around dh! He was everyone's loveable buddy in high school and I am lucky to have married him.

driving around in a mini van which is all they had when we arrived 4 hours late. Nice weather and sight seeing. This town has changed for the better. Revitalized downtown. Went to a fun restaurant and art gallery. Dh took school tour. Impressive.

off to brunch with my old law firm peeps. Early departure tomorrow. Hiking the Denver airport about did me in. Must find a golf cart. Eating is crappy but not excessive.

Yeah Diane, glad to hear you are having a good time! No doubt your DH is a good man if you chose him, and all the other ladies confirm your good taste :) Did you meet in the midwest, or did you meet on the west coast, and it's a coincidence you're both from Nebraska?

Feeling better today, but I am still very winded when I go up stairs or walk even a block. It's the strangest feeling, it's not like my lungs are burning like they do when you've been running, its like I'm breathing normally, but suddenly notice that I'm not really getting enough oxygen with each breath. Maybe I did have Covid. At home test says no. Anyhow, congestion is much better and I got a good nights sleep.

We enjoyed our musical very much, and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants with some of our favorite friends. We are traveling together for part of our NYC trip, which works great. They will be there ahead of us, and see a few sites and shows we've already done, and then we'll have a day or two to see a few things not on their list. In between, we have a lot of fun things planned :)

Another beautiful fall day here! It's going to get unseasonably cold for a few days over the weekend, but I think we will escape it by driving about 400 miles south to Chicago for another wedding.

Ps I love hitching a ride on those golf cart things in airports. If I'm not taking seat from someone who needs it more than me, I hop right on. I feel like a queen as I zip around, the wind gently blowing my hair back. I must remind myself not to wave regally at those still trudging along.

I'm glad you are enjoying the trip! DH must be a special person for sure.

Muggy, muggy here again after more than a week of fairly spectacular weather post- Ian. Poor puppy seems under the weather too as he had some intestinal issues this morning. He is just lazing around.

Last night we went to our favorite restaurant on the ocean and were amazed that we were able to get a prime parking spot and immediate seats at the bar where we usually eat facing the ocean. Well, not so amazing after all as the dishwasher was broken so they weren't serving food and ended up closing down completely in about 45 minutes. That must have been tough for them as they had to close for several days around Ian as well. At least we had one drink with an ocean view. We ended up at another of our favorite restaurants run by a very pleasant family and chatted with several people at the bar. We didn't even eat a ton as we had salads as our meal.

Today is laundry and leftovers for dinner. Basically a day to relax. We have to look into possibly getting a new washer as the current one walks every time I do a load now even though it is fully leveled and I have been precise in balancing the load when putting laundry in. Sigh... I don't particularly like it anyway for a variety of reasons but it is always a pain to have to replace an appliance.

Time to shower. Have a super Sunday!

reunion is over and a great success. Went to the new home of a law buddy for brunch. They have a brand new house but it's craftsman style in an older neighborhood and is wonderful. They bought a dump drug house and bulldozed it and neighbors applauded.

we seem to be at moteldrag strip with loud vehicles.

Diane, glad you had a good time! Am I the only one who would have trouble remembering the names of classmates and have no interest in a reunion? Maybe it's that my class only had 42 girls. And the mean ones are the only one that stuck in my brain...

I'm having MAJOR carb/sugar cravings right now. Trying not to go to the store and there is nothing here that fits the bill. This is that feeling that lasts a few days that's so hard to get past...

I mostly stayed in this weekend as weekends are crowded and really didn't have anywhere to go.

My daughters and sister-in-law also attended small all-girl high schools and none of them have ever chosen to attend a reunion. Maybe for the same reasons as you?
