Quiet day yesterday here. Everyone must be busy, busy! I hope you feel better today DD. I know sometimes the COVID tests read as negative for the first couple of days in an illness, so it still could be that.
Good day with DD yesterday. And DS made it to Ireland. His phone call to tell me he arrived woke us up at 6 am this morning. He miscalculated the time change and thought it was later LOL.
Today we are renting a pontoon boat to travel up the intracoastal waterway. We haven't done this previously so are looking forward to a new experience. Mike used to own a boat so hopefully he can successfully navigate in it!
Time to take our morning walk. Have a winning Wednesday!

Yesterday was one of those days where I got a lot done, but resulted in little interesting to report. An administrative day.
Today I'm going to the dentist. I went to make an appointment yesterday thinking it would be weeks away and they said how about tomorrow? I said yes and then realized I won't have a month to do catch up flossing and have to go in with my everyday teeth. Eek! Oh well. It's like dreading going to the doctor when I've gained weight. I hate for the pros to see the real me! Speaking of doctors, I signed up with one up in Flagstaff. Sedona is slim pickins for doctors. This one is the same direct primary care model my last doctor had and I loved. Hopefully I have a similar experience.
I walked yesterday and could have eaten a lot better, but could have eaten worse too.
Wish me luck with the dentist... Wishing you all luck with your days too!
Greetings all
I was AWOL yesterday. It was a long day for me starting with 3 hours of bloodthirsty scrabble and then an afternoon of gallery duty. And lots of people came in. I forgot to take any food and felt dizzy hungry so I went to the place next door and got a slice of some kind of nut bread. Not healthy but needed. Some poor lady came in as I was closing and they could not find a place to stay so I directed her to the motels and gave her a map. She said they missed the town of Arcata though they had driven right through it. Hope they found their way.
We leave tomorrow for DH reunion so I may be off here for a bit. But will have an iPad. If we get some free time there I would like to go to the zoo since its spectacular but we will see. Yesterday I was so tired I wasn't sure I could do all this but I am better today.
So DD I hear you on being super tired and facing 12 hour day. Hope it goes by quickly and you can rest and heal. No fun working sick.
Another friend went to a 50 year reunion and later learned some people came home with covid. I have all the shots including the latest so I guess thats it.
So our house cleaner is here and she will be pet sitting the dogs. Got the guest room cleaned up for her. She does not know what she is in for with these three wild dogs so I am going to pay her well. So I have to go to bank, drugstore in a different town and various other stops. Liz I don't know how you travel so much.
Enjoy the pontoon boat Liz.
No thought of any diet management this trip. Just getting through it.

Good Morning All,
I am holding the fort whilst my director is interstate at a conference for the rest of the week. We are still having huge issues finding staff but Im hopeful a change in advertising tact continues to bring in the applications. Everything crossed. We are having a very wet spring so that has delayed the season "ramp up" - thank goodness as I need to get more feet on the ground in order to contend with the workloads!
Have to pick up our push mower this afternoon - It had the wheels replaced at its last service but when DS was mowing earlier this week - one fell off ! I took it back on Monday and they have repaired it free of charge - as they should. DS has lamb shanks in the slow cooker so Im looking forward to that. I will get some groceries on the way home. Not a lot else to report - Im hopeful of an early night. Spent last night with my grandbabies which was lovely. It fills my heart.
Liz - your boat trip looked great :) Loved seeing the photos on FB
DD - Feel better soon :( Not fun when you are unwell
Cec - You sound like you are continuing to get super organised. GOOD luck at the dentist. Im a total sook with them and will put off as much as I can - always
Diane S - Have a great trip. Hope you can relax and unwind a little
Peps - Hope you are fully recovered and relaxing
Hello to any I have missed x I had best keep plodding along. Have a bit to get through today
Have a lovely evening all

Liz has got herself a good looking captain! While she's off navigating the high seas sounds like others are getting some chores done.
Through the wonders of the modern world, I am waiting for a virtual medical visit to begin. I tried to go to Urgent Care on the way home from work, because I thought maybe someone should actually listen to my lungs, but even though they were open for 2more hours, they had reached their capacity for the day. I didn't feel like driving all over town trying to find one that was still seeing patients tonight, so I'm home now, trying the online thing.
I spent the day on a plane and am safely ensconced in Pennsylvania. It's that time again - Montgomery County Kennel Club week. Biggest Terrier show in the nation. I am all set to observe and somewhat gleeful not to have a dog to care for and show. I was reminiscing how I had to schlep Blitz in his crate all over Newark International Airport in New Jersey last year. On elevators, up ramps, onto the bullet train thingamajig.... UGH... So NOT fun to do by yourself.
I had one of the worst days at school in years and years yesterday. Had nothing to do with the kids, but the new office manager at my old school. It's a long story. End game is she hung up on me while I was speaking and then lied to her principal and office clerk saying that i had yelled and screamed at her on the phone. I filed a complaint with the union president who will now bring it up to HR and the Supe. This is a brand new employee to the district who since her start date in August has earned the nickname "The Henchman" at her site. At least I have a break from school until Tuesday and can let the sting of the episode fade.
Literally ate nothing all day long on the plane and piggied it up at Cracker Barrel at dinner. Was fun, but I am a little too full....
Talk at y'all later!
