So our learn to play Bocce clinic was cancelled yesterday due to heavy rain so we are now scheduled for a Saturday afternoon one. Same risk of rain tomorrow so maybe we will go into our first game without much of a clue? I guess we should watch a video.
Yesterday's walk was truly steamy. I had to use a wet washcloth to wipe my face constantly, rinsing it a****er stations. On the last one I put ice into it and it felt good! Repeat today.
Yesterday we moved the furniture in the master bedroom around. I like it as it makes the room feel bigger. But now I have to figure out how to shift the pictures around. We have been so many places this summer that we have a terrible time figuring out where we are in the middle of the night LOL.
No plans for today other than another steamy walk and putting away our remaining stuff arriving via UPS today. I need to reorganize my drawers and closets too as I just threw everything in but they are kind of jumbled. Mike just mentioned wanting to go to the driving range this afternoon. So maybe I shall see if I remember anything...
Have a functional Friday!

The week has gone so fast! Long drive yesterday, but it was fine. We beat the boat there, so we had burgers while we waited at a bar there that's famous for them. I had an olive burger - a Michigan treat (it's a burger topped with sliced green olives mixed into mayo and a little olive juice). OMG, so good if you like olives and hamburgers. I also had freshly battered onion rings. No wonder I have regain! But I did share about a third of the onion rings. I do have restriction eventually and it is uncomfortable, but it generally shows up fairly late to the party. So it prevents what I used to be able to put away which is great, but that's not enough to keep me at my lower weight. I still need a good bit of self-restraint which is often lacking in the face of freshly battered onion rings...
My stepmom's sister (stepmom for ease of describing!) flies in today for a week. She's nice, though a bit negative sometimes. I picture Eyeore when she's talking sometimes. But she is in her early 70s with nothing saved for retirement, so she'll need to wor****il she can't while her husband does very little to help, so I guess she comes by the negativity honestly.
Not sure what I'm doing today, which is just fine by me. Have a great day, all!
Yes, the week went fast! Friday!!! We don't have big plans for the weekend, which suits me fine. Things are about to get busy. Next weekend we help DS move to a new apartment, the following weekend is a family friend wedding, after that a weekend visit from DHs brother, than following that, trip to NYC. So this weekend, a few calm days will be perfect.
Today we had a fire drill and a lockdown drill at school. Our new security system is multi layered, so lockdown drills haven't always run super smooth. Getting better though. My favorite feature is I push one big blue police button and my two doors automatically lock, and the card reader is disabled so they can't be swiped open with anyone's key card until I reset it from inside my room. Hard to believe back in the early 2000s I had to stand in the hallway and lock my door manually with a key from outside my classroom. No stress there in the case of an actual incident...
Day 3 of pharmaceutical help. I'm using My Fitness Pal to get an idea of calories and track protein. So far, so good.
Impressive security feature. All schools should have that even though it is sad that it is needed.

Greetings all
Today is my birthday. I am 71 years old. I feel every year of it. How could this happen? Oh well, we are going out to dinner at the place with a view. Crab cakes maybe? And DH brought home cake. He will likely eat most of it which is fine with me.
CC an olive burger! Sounds great. Now I want that. And onion rings. Yum. That sounds better than cake.
DD you made it through the first week! Security system sounds good. Lets hope you never need to push the button.
Cripes I bet the phone rang 10 times this morning. All scam/junk calls.
I received the drafts from the committee which is revising the gallery by laws. Thing is, its not necessary. I am going to have to resist the urge to get cranky. Guess I will just deal with the truly bad stuff.
Not much else. We are enjoying "Bad Sisters". Its funny.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday dinner!
