September already!!! Too much to do before we leave for Florida in 13 days. I feel scrunched with time. Mike is going to have to help out his daughter in NY by taking care of his grandchildren for 3 nights just before we leave for Florida. I can't come because I have last minute appointments those days. Because we are flying vs. driving we don't have a lot of flexibility.
Yesterday we picked out the tile for the new bathroom, today we are picking out the toilet, faucets , etc (including grab bars). Tomorrow we need to pick out a vanity, mirror and storage over the toilet. I think that shower door choices may have to be made remotely or by Mike's daughter. He thought this would all take a short period of time. Ha!
Luckily the back is improving- still a bit stiff but I slept better last night. I don't have time to baby it.
Not sure what dinner will be today but dinner out last night wasn't great so I just ate the shrimp in the dish. One thing that VSG has taught me is that if it doesn't taste that great, don't bother!
Have a timely Thursday!

Liz, do you keep a car in Florida? Although the timing is tough, that's very lovely that Mike is the kind of Grandpa who can take care of the grandkids on his own.
We are not contracted to work tomorrow, so I made sure that I finished everything needed to physically be there for so I don't have to go into School tomorrow. I'd also always rather work later, and leave it there, than go home close to on time, and then work from home in the evening. What I'd prefer most is to just work my contract day. It happens sometimes. Anyhow, I did work late the last couple of nights, but I still have some computer work to do this weekend. And then Tuesday is the big day.
Yes, Mike is a great father and grandfather which is a big part of what I found attractive from the beginning.
We have 2 cars in Florida and 2 on Cape Cod. Mike and his son share their 2 cars - we have the newer one (a jeep) here right now. Usually Mike would drive it down and swap cars with his son who has lived a couple of hours away in Florida since Mike retired. But his son is relocating to DC and decided he doesn't want a car there right now. So we are leaving the jeep and my Cape Cod car here on chargers, flying down and picking up the car his son usually has near the airport. My Florida car is in our garage there. Mike figures that if his son changes his mind about having a car DS can fly north, get the jeep and drive back to DC. Complicated but it should work.

Got the boy moved into college today and my brother got Dad moved to Memory Care and Mom moved to a single bedroom Assisted Living 2 floors up from Dad. I'm more worried about my parents (Dad mostly) then the boy at this point!
I feel beat and have to gear up for a 5 day stretch of work starting tomorrow! Gonna hit the sack soon! Bath with a soak in Eucalyptus and Spearmint Epson salts already done!
Mental adjustments can be exhausting. I'm sure every will settle in fine, then you can relax.
