Good morning from the Charleston Airport! Lord its early for me! We left our hotel at 4:45 am, I'm not sure if ill be coherent!

All week I've been struggling with inflammation/infection of my eye lid. Its not conjunctivitis, as my actual eye/cornea are fine. On Friday I did a Doctors on Demand, which worked very slick, or so I thought. I had a video conference and was picking up a prescription in downtown Charleston in about an hour. But the drops seemingly did nothing, and my eye lid continued to swell and was painful. Yesterday I went to Minute Clinic at a CVS. They gave me an ointment, and it seems to be working, pain is diminished, swelling still exists. Anyhow, like every encounter we've had here, the Minute Clinic staff were so kind and helpful.

We loved our time in Charleston, natural beauty, beautiful city, incredible food, friendly helpful people. Definitely on our list to return.

Great trip DH and you had! Sorry for the eye swelling but at least you got some relief.

Mike and I are off to Newfound Lake in New Hampshire around mid-day. I will be very surprised if he still tests positive as Mike was 100% normal yesterday even though we still quarantined him. If he is not negative we will take our tests with us to test again tomorrow and stick to ourselves in our little cottage until he is.

Poor Justice fell down a few stairs last night! He was coming up behind me on our uncarpeted stairs at bedtime as usual and he slipped a few stairs up and tumbled to the bottom. Scared the heck out of all of us (including Justice). He is fine thank goodness. I guess I will be carrying him up and down those stairs now.

Time to get my act together- I think we are going out for a late brunch before we hit the road.

Have a thoughtful Tuesday!

Well, I drove an hour to the closest branch of my bank (maybe one day may need to switch banks, but I've used them since 1990) and sent a boatload of money to the escrow company. My hands were sweating! so scary to trust that everyone is typing the numbers accurately before pressing send. Whew.

Then I went to Costco and got some Diet Coke (less than I would have gotten because I need to cut back and some of those Fairlife protein shakes. And popcorn which I don't need and gas.

Then I went to the post office and filled out another address change card (which is the lame suggestion I got from my old post office about my mail not getting forwarded). You know what I think the problem is? My last name is CARTER and the new people's last name is CARpenTER.

I think I need a nap. A lot of cortisol and adrenaline running through me and tiring me out!

The name similarity causing confusion makes sense! Because I have 2 last names and DS has one of them, mail forwarding for me only from the Cape house NEVER works.

All these financial transactions must be so nerve-wracking, but it will be worth it! I believe you are purchasing a piece of heaven.

Greetings all

Home for the day after a morning of cutthroat scrabble. I won all my games!!! Lots of great words. I played "rehinging" for 89 points or some such thing. Killer good luck.

Here is my shopping list for the day: 1. carnivorous plants. 2. vinyl flooring. My friend had shown me her Darlintonia plant which eats gnats and it was cool. The plant nursery is nearby so I got three different gnat eaters. They had a venus fly trap but it looked kind of wimpy. They are supposed to stay moist. Anyway I got them for DH as I thought he might think they are fun but I think he finds them creepy.

Minute Clinic! Glad you got some help DD and good to know those places are decent. Wish we had one.

So I also took the cupboard door to the flooring company to compare. Its a very yellow oak and I should probably get rid of them too but too much effort. I found a couple of fake stone looks that would work but nothing absolutely grabbed me. Needs more thought.

Then I took a different way home around the south end of Eureka just because I had never been that way. Interesting. Lots of little houses tucked into the hills.

Speaking of houses, CC yours is fabulous. But I kept trying to picture a dog pen area for a golden retriever. You know they turn green if they spend too much time in a chlorinated pool! And I so loved tha****er feature in the house. Koi fish?

Liz that little cottage is cute. Enjoy that lake.

I have gallery duty tomorrow and Friday so its a busy time for me. And the fence fixer is here. Its always something.

Such a great game scrabble is, but I stink at it. I really should play more and I would probably improve... "Rehinging" is a good one!
