Lake Placid area is as beautiful as I remembered. Today we get in the car and head for home for real. The next 2 days will be more about putting some miles behind us. I'm happy we took this little detour into upstate New York to put a capstone on our East Coast Adventures.

The last few days have not been the best for eating, but I can get back into my better routine soon. We'll see what awaits when I weigh myself on my own scale. I'm not too worried, my pants continue to feel okay. We'll see...

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Pants, especially less stretchy ones are a good measure! And yes, we do need to make sure our doggies are happy and have the right amount of freedom (not too little or too much).

The roof saga continues. What was estimated to be a 1 day project will go to day 4 tomorrow. Yesterday afternoon when it was supposed to be dry it poured rain. I had to stop at the house to drop off/pick up some things and it is a disaster inside and out as the friends helping are staying at the house. I HATE clutter and mess so couldn't get out fast enough and felt stressed last night thinking about it. I go back Friday to stay for the weekend and it better be in better shape. And our wedding celebration party is a week from Sunday - we will have a cookout for out-of-towners Saturday night and many will be staying over so again. I am feeling nervous!

For today I am going to try and forget about it. We just took Justice for his sandbar walk (his free feeling place). We are going to the beach for a few hours shortly, then out to dinner with a childhood friend of Mike's.

Have a safe drive, DD! Have a terrific Tuesday all!

The roofing sounds super stressful - I hope its completed soon. These things have a way of blowing out longer than expectations.

Everything crossed for you

Yesterday was tests for my dad, today will be the head of urology. He said he saw his results and his hemoglobin is getting better (still not normal) as his creatinine (same). And his pet scan write up didn't indicate any problems (he has this persistent cough that won't go away, so at least it doesn't look like something has spread there or pneumonia).

I took my license plates off my car and put the new temporary paper one on. Weird feeling, but feels like progress not to be driving around with CA plates. What to do with them? I suppose peel off the registration sticker and toss them?

I'm looking at some more houses today.

I think the stress of the last 3 or so months is catching up with me in the form of my hair falling out (my hair is the canary in the coal mine for any stress in my life - stress, weight loss, medication, etc). Good times. Grr.

Off to get some laundry done!

I kept my Massachusetts license plates when I registered the car in Florida in 2018. They were in the corner of the garage until I tossed them out while preparing for my house sale 4 years later. LOL

Feels wrong to throw them out, but it's not like they'd reuse them if for some reason I reregistered it there...

Good Morning All

Popping in on Hump Day. Been busy at work since returning from Far North Qld. We have won 2 big Tenders so thats pleasing. I put a lot of work into them both so its a nice reward to be successful. Advertising for more staff but its a very hard market at present. Need to employ at least another 2 installers........ Sigh

I had a quick catch up with what everyone has been doing. Love reading your posts.

I meant to post some photos of our trip on TT but imagine you would have seen the video my DIL posted and tagged me in. Special memories indeed

We are in full swing for Elliots 3rd Birthday later this month. He hasnt ever had a birthday party due to COVID so my DIL and I are pulling out all stops. I found an amazing park on Sunday which is perfect. We shopped for decorations etc on Monday night. It will be a Dinosaur theme. I am making Brownies with lolly dinosaurs on them, Fruit sticks with watermelon cutout dinos and Fairy bread that has dino cookie cutouts. Will share pictures once Im done. I am in the midst of preparing the box so we can play Pin the Tail on the Triceratops. And I need to cover the bamboo serving trays with leaf patterned contact. It should look great - fingers crossed. DH may be interstate with work so that will be a shame but he will have Nanna there. DSS is inviting his Mum and her partner - could be interesting as she refused to come to our elder grandsons birthday cause we were going. All very childish and unnecessary !

Im picking up the boys tonight from Child Care and taking them to their house. DH will come after work as will DSS and DIL. I have cooked a tuna rice slice and made a salad. Quick easy tea. Hoping its not too late a night as I have to go home and pack. I have booked an apartment in the city for my Mum and I, she wanted to see The Ten Tenors so we have tickets for Thursday night. I have taken Friday off as leave and we will spend the day doing whatever she wishes in the city, we stay Friday night at the apartment too then head home Saturday. It will be lovely and I want to make it special as she missed out on her 79th & 80th Birthday celebrations. Special and chrished memories being made

My DS and his partner came for dinner last night. It was great to see them. We laughed and joked lots. DH was showing them how well his Red Heeler has learnt to sit at the dining table. He hopped down and I told him to get back to the table - with that he vaulted straight onto the Dining Table !!! It has a glass top and was covered with glasses etc he somehow missed all of them. That dog is just too clever - I couldnt growl as I had essentially told him to do it. He is a real character and has so much personality

Well I had best go and get some more work done. Its never ending. Love to you all and enjoy your afternoon
