Where are all of you? I am already back in Massachusetts! We will be at the house in a bit over an hour and be able to assess progress on my new roof. Yes, it is successfully happening this weekend thank goodness.
We hope to be back in the outer Cape with Justice at Mikes by 2 and may go sleep on the beach since we have been up since 3. Either burgers on the grilll or take-out tonight.
Have a successful Saturday!

Just got back from Salem. We brought daughter to her class at 8:30am, poked around Salem for a bit while waiting for her, and then had lunch. We are back in Boston. We'll finish up with operation decoration today, and tomorrow we will start our journey back. We love New England/Massachusetts and will be sorry to leave.
DD was doing WW with success before we arrived. She told us last night that despite all the eating out since we arrived, she has not gained at all. Hurray! I hope it's the same for me and DH.
Good for DD! I am glad you have enjoyed Massachusetts so much!

Happy Saturday!
Liz, glad you are back with your boy! I'm sure he is glad to back with you. DD, safe travels home! Sorry your time in Mass. is coming to an end. Are you thinking of relocating when it's time to retire? CC, how is the settling in coming along? Diane S. you are a true dog person. Pants without pockets are simply not doable! LOL!
Puppy #5 left this morning. Puppy#6 will go this afternoon. Two more tomorrow. The rest will go one at a time over coming week. The final boy will leave on 8/15. I pulled the plug on the puppy going to Sweden. The fellow in Sweden kept asking for delays. It was due in part by the delay in renewing his passport, but he's known about this since March and simply procrastinated. He asked me to hold the pup now until November. I just can't hold a puppy until it's almost 6 month old. So, puppy is now going to Colorado on Monday to live with a primary care physician and his wife on two acres. She'll be loving life!
Eating remains on track (for me anyway). As long as I continue on the downward trend, right? I am very much enjoying where I am right now in regard to eating and self acceptance. Body acceptance is coming along, too, just not quite as far along....
The program supervisor of my new job..... OMG..... I don't understand how she has progressed so far in educational management. She's needs to stick with data management, not program or people management. The woman represents pretty much what is wrong with education management in CA. I found significant errors in the schedule she sent out. Her response to me was to tweak it as needed with site principals. I'm thinking to myself.... UH, your job was to create the program and schedules. We all had a completely different vision for the program and schedule (much more simple, student centered and easy for each teacher) and you dismissed our ideas. Why should I clean up your incompetence? Sigh....
No way you could redo the schedule to work the way you wanted it to in the beginning and get her to buy that it is better? ;)

Greeting Peeps and Peps
Well we are here. A mile from the ocean in redwood country. Going nowhere with no desire to do so. If I could figure out a way to "beam" to France or somewhere else exciting I would do so but not with the airplane hassles. Liz I look forward to hearing about your Tahiti cruise as a cruise out of SF might be doable for us. But there is the issue of three dogs, two being intact females. Our dog sitter lady is in her 80s and not sure if she still works.
And Peps you get why no pockets are not acceptable pants. Not just dog treats and paraphanalia but also kleenex, keys, chap stick, masks, list and such. And the new pants are TOO BIG! What a nice surprise. I have worn one pair and cant return. I may just give the other pair away. Already ordered more in a smaller size since the fabric AND POCKETS are just right.
Just got back from grocery shopping and taking $$ to the bank for the gallery. We are having an excellent year so far. What could spoil it is covid or more likely a big wild fire cutting off the roads. Big one in Siskyou county today but thats miles away.
Yeah Peps good on you for sending the pup to colorado. It will indeed have a great life. And double good on you for developing some body acceptance and better eating habits. Slow is fine. There is a book called Body Love written in the 80s about body acceptance. I have it somewhere and I recall its pretty good.
DH just returned from one of his shopping trips. Why we need a large box of driveway chalks is beyond me. He said it could be used to mark the fence posts but we already replaced the bad ones. Two days and holding still.
I got some bread called Keto bread. Tastes like sawdust which I think is what it is made of. Not good. 60 calories but 60 bad tasting ones is not good.
CC glad you met some people and had some fun. Totally a good idea to agree to respect but disagree at the outset. They probably assumed everyone in California is a liberal. Not true.
And Peps, if that supervisor cant make a schedule I guess you are stuck doing it but geez, what else does this person do? Management needs to get out of the way. Shades of my big law firm experience.
Got some burritos from the health food deli. We shall see.
Watching a new series called Surface. Kind of psych drama on Apple tv. Good so far.
Not much else. Cheers all. Diane s

I had a nice day with the realtors! They took me into a lot of gated neighborhoods I otherwise wouldn't have gotten to see. Two were gorgeous. Well, Sedona can't help but be gorgeous everywhere, but these were amazing. One was down in a canyon along Oak Creek (the creek runs through the neighborhood) and the other was out in an open area away from town where you can see just about every famous rock around just by turning in a circle. The second one is where I fell in love with a super expensive house a year ago that is apparently still for sale despite the listing expiring. All the houses disappear into the landscape and very spread out from one another. Really something to see.
I saw 4 other houses, 2 are still being built, 2 are remodeled older homes. None really grabbed me (one remodeled one had a very nice upstairs and fantastic kitchen, but a pool inside the house downstairs and I just found that too weird to get over). Tomorrow I see two more houses. Fun stuff!
Mike and I want to do a similar tour in the fall to see what else is out there in case we decide to move to a different community (in the same town). Great way to get and idea of what you want or don't want.
Maybe that house you fell in love with previously could be purchased for a steal!
