Another 90 degree day coming up. At least it isn't 106 (though it is more humid). We don't really get tolerant of this heat because it doesn't last for an extended period, just long enough to make us feel cranky. Speaking of which I think the multiple HPB medications I am on have increased my heat intolerance. I am having a tough time periodically. But yesterday at the beach my former town with SILs I felt pretty good because there was a good breeze and I could get in and out of the water. And one SILs daughter-in-law and grandson were there too. The grandson is 21 months now and his language skills are improving so quickly! He is pronouncing his common words like Mommy, Nana, No, and Bird very clearly and has some short sentences (like "where did the bird go" with his two arms up in the air in a questioning gesture LOL).
Today we will try to be low key. Hopefully the beach will be tolerable as there is no umbrella here (same gesture as my nephew). Tonight is date night and we are trying a new restaurant. I won't have a lot of energy for much as I only slept for about 3 hours last night. So I am pretty darn tired.
In the meantime we also have to reduce some of Justice's freedoms here. We had been letting him in the yard with no leash because previously he stayed close by but he tried to chase 2 very large Newfoundlands being walked by the house yesterday so I had to chase him down the street.
Have a satisfying Saturday!

We have a high of 90 today too. So far I've stayed inside, prepping dinner for tonight and giving the girls a bath (they were smelling too doggy).
Went out for sushi ? last night and ordered 4 pieces of white tuna nigiri and ate one of DH's crab rangoons. Overall a pretty low calorie dinner for going out!
DH works all weekend so kind of boring. DS#3 is working too so I can't even go mushroom foraging or kayaking with him.
Good day to edit pics from our vacation I guess!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
Greetings all
I'd better post before I get sidetracked and forget. Today is a much calmer day than yesterday. As I mentioned DH texted me that the two younger dogs had escaped. Neighbor sighted her so we were driving around looking and calling. Then I got a phone call from the vet office that someone had called them and they had Tesla. Only a couple of blocks away. And DH caught Poppy. Major terror but they are fine. We fixed the fence where they dug out but later in the evening they got out again! Other neighbors saw them so we got them quickly. Since we had all these weeds mowed down its possible for them to dig under the fence in a few spots. We have ordered these things called "Dig Defence" that are rows of stakes that you pound into the ground. Hope they work. We have some spots where we pounded pieces of rebar into the ground but these are rows of spikes so should work. Hope.
Thats about it for today. We went out to lunch at the Chinese buffet yesterday. Food is pretty good and DH adores the hot and sour soup. Leftovers for dinner. More tonight if we want.
Shout out to everyone baking in the heat! CC hope Arizona cools off so you can explore on a bicycle. Its sunny here but probably won't even get to 70.
Lots of errands to run. Gallery cash to count, mail to pick up, a few groceries and coffee, all at different places. No one store here has everything I need. One stop shopping is a myth.
Liz, beach without umbrella is unthinkable! Enjoy the day.

I would have been scared to death that something would happen to the dogs. I do hope those stakes work.

It was 100 here today, but we just had a bunch of thunderstorms roll through and it's 81 now!
I did some more neighborhood exploring today and ruled one area out. No cell reception there! I also checked out Cottonwood which has a lot of the box stores not here. I got my car washed there as it was filthy.
Another good food day. I now have a craving for acai bowls after my neighbor brought me one. So yummy and there is a store here so I got one for lunch. Nice on a hot day as it's like soft serve acai with fruit, granola and a little honey on top. Mine had some crispy coconut too. Probably too much sugar for some, but I had had a protein shake for breakfast. A small was huge for me. Then I had some popcorn and a string cheese as snacks and a big salad with Delish and I'm stuffed.
My dad is still not 100%. Apparently still high creatinine numbers and low hemoglobin now. He lost 8 pounds. They've asked when they are at Mayo to see a nephrologist (kidney doctor) to see if they can get more information.
I think that's all I know. Hope you all are well!
I hope your Dad picks up. Will you be seeing him soon?

Late night post here. Our car thermometer read 100 at one point today! So as hot as Arizona, but sadly no rain to break the heat. I think the heat is supposed to break next week.
Diane those are some smart and determined dogs to figure out how to make the big break so quickly! And Justice, what is he up to chasing the big dogs?
CC hoping you will have better news about your Dad soon!
