Hot day today! 106. I walked to the mailbox this afternoon (still no mail, but my rural delivery card was in there, so baby steps I suppose) and nearly suffocated (exaggeration, but hot). Then two people ran by my house, get this... ON PURPOSE. You must acclimate to it. I can confirm acclimation does not occur in two days. Slightly cooler tomorrow and then next week significantly cooler with the arrival of monsoon rains. Should be fun!

I drove around today to check out some more neighborhoods. Found one I didn't like, drove around more in the one I do like. More still to look at. I also stopped into Whole Foods to see what this one was like and they carry Garlic Expressions salad dressing which is hands down the best bottled salad dressing on the planet. It's not enormous, but had some interesting things to try, so I'll be back.

I ate well today and yesterday. Hopefully it's the start of a trend. For the sake of honesty and non-ostriching, I was 214.6 this morning, which is down from my recent high of 219.2. Blech.

Anyway, headed to bed. Hope you all have nice weekends!

Hopefully there are hiking groups, etc. that you can become involved with (possibly when cooler)? It would be nice to get to know people who can also give you insight into the various neighborhoods.

Hi all

quick late night entry here. We had had clean up in the yard but the clean up has revealed fence issues and they got out twice today, poppy is in season so not cool. Neighbors have been super nice and called our vet and us from tags. They got out again later today but neighbors helped. They were not far. Poppy is in season so it gets complicated. The brush removal the other day may have revealed weak spots in fence. Have a couple of options but we just need a fixed fence,

at least I got quite a few steps in chasing around the neighborhood hunting our dogs. Gave rewards

now we gotta fix the fence. Working on that.

Chinese buffet for lunch plus dinner, all good

more tomorrow when I have keyboard.

I am grateful allnaughty little dogs are home safe

cheers

Fix one thing and something else needs to be fixed! The joys of homeownership.
