I just lost my post twice. I really hate the way OH works sometimes.

Today is CC's move day #2. I am sure there will be more tears, but onward and upward! Your future will be bright and fit you best because you are choosing it.

Today promises to be a somewhat perfect beach day with sunny, hot but windy weather. Over the last week it either has been hot and still or cloudy and breezy. We will be at the beach while Mike's ex stops at the house for her mail, etc. I wonder how weird that will be for her?

Not much else going on - I am not sure what dinner will be. We ate leftovers yesterday so need to figure something out.

Have a thankful Tuesday!

I hope it will feel very weird for her, it should.

We're discussing the beach too. Rockport has a beach that is not permit only, we might try that one.

We will move out of our cottage on Sunday, and then spend 5 or 6 days with DD at her apartment. When we get home, we'll be there for about 2 weeks, then head to Charleston, and return one day ahead of workshop week. Summer goes fast!

I used to hate how summer passed so quickly!

Happy Tuesday! Dog show weekend was fun on one side but fraught RV angst.... I just need to fix two things (replace house batteries and get the generator tuned and starting reliably) then I should be good to go and RV woes should be behind me. If that isn't the fix, then I'm pretty much done. LOL! Liz, one of the things you have to realizes is that an RV is like a house on wheels. If you were to cart your house around your maintenance would increase exponentially. That's why RVs require a lot of maintenance. The engines and vehicle parts aren't usually the issues. It's the 'House' stuff that needs constant tweaking.

Dinah's pups went to the vet yesterday for health checks, vaccines, deworming, and microchips. All got clean bills of health. Today I take in Dottie's three littles. Then it's a doctor visit to chat about my knee and next steps, if any. I will ask for my annual blood work order, too. After that a training session. In other words, a full day.

Charlie went to her new home yesterday. It is the perfect match for both dog and human. I'm so happy that she is in the perfect place for her. I am convinced that the "Universe" planned this match. I was simply the interim caretaker while she waited for her human to become available.

Weight is slowly going down. Just a couple of pounds, but if I continue this trend it will show me that my style of eating is working.

My summer is winding down. Really only two more weeks before I have to start back. I HATE this early August start. I'd much rather work a few weeks into June and have all of August off, but no.... If the UC system is on semesters that start mid August, then so must the high schools and of course, if the high schools are on semesters to align with the UC system so there is no studying over winter recess, then heaven forbid we at the elementary level mess with families who have kids in high schools. And there is the tail that wags the dogs.

One of my little bottle fed pups - the happiest, go lucky, I love everybody puppy - has turned into a fighting puppy. Not his fault. It's a hormone thing that happens in terriers. It goes away and is no indication of temperament in adulthood, but it can be dangerous. So, poor little guy is in his own pen and sleeps in a crate. He is spending a lot of time with the big dogs and loving that. But, it's clear he misses his siblings. I tried putting him with his sister yesterday, but it was a no go. Luckily, he's not a severe case. Some pups totally lose it and when they glaze over into fight mode, they bite anything.... Interestingly, this phenomenon is only directed at littermates. You would never know watching him with the big dogs or outside of the pen interacting with his siblings that there was even an issues. He his happy and wags his tail and play bows.... But throw him in the mix and BAM! Once his neck cranes over another pup's back that's it... trigger is pulled.

Not much else going on here. Life revolves around puppies and cleaning up after them. But I do love it!!!! So no complaints whatsoever.

CC let us know how it's going!!!!!

Interesting about that fighting puppy hormone. I wonder if some humans have something similar?

Greetings all

I am actually cooking chicken thighs on the stove top. They looked good at the grocery store and having purchased them I am now forced to cook them. Not too hard. Hope it works.

I skipped scrabble today. Last night at dusk we could not find two of the dogs. They had dug under the fence and were in the yard behind us. That yard is really over grown and I think that house is vacant right now. So I could not call there or knock on the door and their back gate was locked tight. We finally pulled a couple of boards off the fence and got them out. All is fine but it was a major pain. DS put concrete blocks over the escape route and the other gap is wired shut but we need to replace some boards and I am not sure how we will do that. But neighbor lady who is quite handy can be hired to help. And tomorrow the yard clean up guy comes. Hope he is not a wimp! Last night in the back yard trying to retrieve the dogs was no picnic.

Ok CC we want to hear your adventures. I looked up Sedona on Google and saw this art center that has all kinds of classes and lessons and a gallery. It looked really cool. I am sure you have already found this but it sure looked like fun.

I just snacked on tuna salad. No crackers. It was good. Note to self: No crackers required.

Tee Hee Peps, one of the pups is Mike Tyson. They are indeed born with some traits. Enjoy these last couple of weeks with them. And I hope the Goat behaves itself. You have enough going on. Are you getting excited about your new music position? I am envisioning you in "Glee".

I did not get much done today other than cook an actual dinner. And enjoy my new shower which still seems like such an indulgence.

DD save some lobster for us all. Can't think of when I last ate any. Hmmm. But we do have crab here though its not available right now. Enjoy the travels.

Cheers all. Diane S

That would be hard, not to have lobster readily available. We even have it in Florida (flown from New England).
