Well I bought myself a bracelet and earrings yesterday plus lunch out with 7 girlfriends (of which 4 are related). Enjoyable day! The Street Fair was much smaller and quieter than in the past years (it wasn't held in 2020 or 2021). And restaurants are quieter this summer. We can't figure out if that is still because of COVID fears or is a long-term change. We went out to dinner when I got home to a new Latin influence restaurant. Really good mussels which I couldn't finish. I also had more than half my lunch to take home so eating was not too terrible yesterday.
Today we are taking Justice for a beach walk again. This afternoon I will make a variation on stuffed peppers - all the ingredients but with the peppers cut up and pre-cooked because I had to do that to save them. I use riced cauliflower vs regular rice so it is a fairly healthy meal.
I am not sure what else we will do. The weather is mixed today.
Have a thoughtful Thursday!

The weather is lovely again this morning, but rain is predicted this afternoon. Last night we went for a quick walk around 10:30 to look at the full moon. It was spectacular. It should still be lovely tonight.
DS insists he needs to leave today. He really should wait until Friday if he is following CDC guidelines. He's very anxious about work piling up. He wants to go to his office on Friday and see if he needs to take care of anything over the weekend. I suppose we could refuse to drive him to the airport, but when we joked about it, he said he'd take an Uber. He will of course, wear an N95 mask.
We are waiting until Friday evening and negative tests before we are with my Aunt and Uncle again. So far, no symptoms for the rest of us.
Well, time to drive into Boston!
Almost all of the junky food is gone. I managed to avoid most of it. Good riddance!
There always seems to be some crisis awaiting. DS just spent a couple of hours at the local ER for a bleeding ulcer. He's okay now but always a worry. He is a high-stress person.

Peppers sound good- I never thought to use cauliflower instead of rice, and I certainly will try it- Cheesy yumminess! With all the summer produce around (unfortunately not out of our garden which experienced a slow, hot dry death) I am in vegetable heaven. Raw veggies are my favorite way to have them and also like playing a round of Russian roulette as they have sent me to the emergency room (Damned Whipple). Even so, I continue to cross my fingers and pull the trigger.
Gosh, what does a bleeding ulcer do, and how do you take care of such a condition? Hope DS's episode is a short one and calms down quickly.
I am staying in for the hot part of the day. Swann spent the better part of his walk this morning dashing from the shade of one large, round hay bale to the other; each time taking a Welshie splooch for a minute or so before dashing off to the next bale. He is currently in rug mode laying on his side on the cool kitchen tiles.
I am off to the desk to resume my (very poor) attempt to negatively paint a picture. Just when I think Ive got the technique down I reverse the process...Grrrrrrr
Love, love, love the full moon. The area we live in is far away from artificial city lights and a full moon creates a shockingly almost daylight experience.

Greetings all
Sorry to be AWOL. Yesterday I worked a 7 hour shift at the gallery. I usually do half days but had a full one this day due to weird scheduling. I was ready to leave after about 2 hours. Fortunately a friend came by with her puppy Batgirl, know known as Sassy. Darling little dog and very full of energy and she became the official gallery greeter for awhile. This was the most energetic of the puppies, even though she was a runt, and my friend who is 80 years old has quite a handful! She is adding more fencing to her yard for this pup who is now a year old and insists on digging up the rose bushes.
So we had a fun visit. I didn't sell much all day but enough people came through to make it interesting. Most are tourists so I get to tell them all the best spots to visit. This tiny town of 350 people has spectacular ocean views and gets a lot of tourists.
More errands to run today. Never ending ingredients for dog food since the old dog eats hamburger and rice. I got a pizza yesterday since its in the small town near the gallery so that will feed me and DH for a few days. Sleeve still limits me to one slice of pizza which is fine with me. Must also go to pet store for food and treats for the young dogs. I so wish there was one stop shopping but I can't get everything at a single grocery store. Like my friend was saying, the natural foods store does not have ordinary crackers. Only weird gluten free ones that cost a boat load.
DD sounds like your son is better off rid of that girlfriend. Hope he is over it soon.
And yeah covid is still with us. DH and I have not had it but we lead pretty sheltered lives. My biggest exposure chance is at the gallery but we run an air purifier. Some people mask and some don't. There were two deaths in our small county this week and more hospitalizations. The area is considered a rising covid zone. Scary.
I continue to ostrich on weight. While alone at the gallery I do some leg exercises but its not much. Must get moving more. Maybe tomorrow.
More later if anything interesting happens.

I had a nice goodbye dinner with one of my good friends. She bought me a beautiful silver Tiffany necklace! I was embarrassed, because it is a choker on me... too short a chain. So I took it over to the Tiffany store to see if they could length it (they can, they just have to ship it out and ship it back to me). Of course the Tiffany store moved at the mall, so that was a lot of unnecessary wandering I had to do to find it.
On the way home my check engine light came on, of course, because why should anything be easy. I am supposed to do a quick turn around trip to Sedona leaving early tomorrow. Grrrrrr. I called the dealership and they said to try taking off and putting back on my gas cap and driving for 20 miles (because I have time for that too!). Right now the movers are here taking away rugs and exercise equipment, so I will do that when they are done. If that doesn't work, not sure how I'll handle it. That's for Afternoon Ceci to figure out.
My dad is still in the hospital with not great kidney numbers. He's super cranky about it.
I've started packing stuff to take to Sedona (in the car I may not be able to drive there).
I think that's it. I hope all the sons who are feeling poorly improve soon!!
