Good morning! We had a great time yesterday. I thought I was done doing touristy things in Boston, because we've been hanging out here for years, but the harbor cruise was a good way to spend some time. And even though we've rode the beantown trolley, and the old town trolley, more than once, we're going to ride the city view trolley today :) I do love hop on hop off tours. Such an easy way to cover a lot of ground and see a lot of a city. And occasionally learn something.

It was also great fun to go to the movie Thor, Love and Thunder with DD and her roomies. DD is a huge Marvel fan, and her friends are pretty into it too. DH and I were definitely the oldest people in the theater!!! Boston had a lot of youngsters :)

DD needs my coffee order. She's going to bring us back something from the shop around the corner. More later.

We are back from our jaunt down to the harbor. The T has worked great for us, short waits, not too smelly :)

After our trolley tour, we decided to just get a hot dog in Quincy Market. After we started eating it appeared the stand was getting sited by a health inspector! Oh well, hot dogs aren't a paragon of healthy food under any cir****tances.

Years ago, before I had surgery, I was window shopping in Quincy Market. I remember, so distinctly, standing in front of Ann Taylor Loft, and wishing I could shop there, but knowing their largest size would be nowhere big enough for me. Since my surgery, I have shopped there in Minneapolis, and even have a few things with me on this trip. Anyhow, I told DH about that moment of longing so many years ago, and he said, you need to go into this store and buy something. So I did. I bought a summer weight sweater. When I wear it, it will remind me that I don't need to have a perfect journey to realize just how far I've come.

Greetings all

DH has gone to costco so i get to control the TV and house. What I did was eat hot dogs for breakfast (no health citation that I know of) and some vegan potato salad from the health food store deli. Gotta say the potato salad sucks. Whatever they use in place of mayo is not good. A plain boiled potato would taste better.

Its cloudy and windy today so not a bad day to stay home. But I will go out to do some banking when DH brings the electric car home. We have an old SUV but I hate driving it and I think the battery is dead.

DD love hearing about your travels and trollies. Enjoy.

A new locally owned pharmacy has just opened here, giving us an alternative to the behemoth CVS. Yay.

I asked DH to get a costco roast chicken but DH will likely come home with a lasagne. Works for me i.e no cooking.

Off to look for stuff to throw away before DH gets home.

I hate travel sometimes. I was really ready to be home but we are now delayed by at least 3 hours which means a 2 am arrival at home. It wouldn't be so bad except I have a bunch of company at my house. Not a weekend to relax.

Ugh! We were just at Logan, picking up DS. Hope you are getting closer to home.

Busy day! Cleaning people came for the last time. I teared up! He's been my cleaning person for 27 years.

Then I went to help my friend clean some stuff out of her garage for her move. Made me realize as much as I may feel like a packrat, I'm much more of a minimalist by comparison and much more capable of looking at something and deciding it's not needed. I tried to make it easy by putting things she didn't want into my car and driving it to Goodwill for her when I left. I think we made a tiny dent and she felt like she'd made some headway.

Then I came home and listed the bedding for one of my guest room beds on Nextdoor as well as a rug. They were gone in minutes! The rug lady has already picked up and the bedding lady is coming later.

Then I had a call with the realtors in Sedona. I can see I'm going to have to stand my ground about taking time to ensure it's the town I want. She was explaining things are as good as they are going to get in Sedona for buyers. I don't think that can be true with a recession looming.

And then when I am looking my sweatiest and dirtiest, the new owner came by to pick up some mail. And she's model gorgeous and tall and thin and blonde. I felt like a tall sweaty troll! She couldn't have been more pleasant. Argh!

Anyway, this sweaty troll needs to go pack up some books... Take care all!

I agree, how can the realtor know what the housing market will be in the coming year. Things seem pretty uncertain on multiple fronts.
