I am surprised to be first at 7:30 on the west coast!
Yesterday was another enjoyable day with family. We walked down to the beach at the bottom of the hill my brother lives on. The dog enjoyed the water and the baby enjoyed digging in the sand. I took the family out to dinner at a restaurant on the water. The baby eats what he wants - all adult food he can pick up with his fingers. He seems to be free of food-pushing at least right now.
Today we are taking the ferry into Seattle to poke around Pike Place Market etc. I used to travel to Seattle every 6 months on business for a few years and enjoyed that part of the city so it will be nice to see it again some 8+ years later.
Enjoy you Wednesday!

Yes, late start for me. I got up at 8am, but have been putzing around, drinking coffee, reading. Finally showered and dressed :)
DH, DD and I had a late breakfast together, and now DH is on a bike ride. Later he's going to help wrap up some artwork for my Aunt that will be moved to their new home. I am probably going to help my Aunt sort through some papers. DD continues working remotely.
Tonight we are driving in to Boston, and will stay a few nights at my daughter's apartment. We are going with her and her roommates to see Thor tomorrow, and then Friday having dinner with some friends, and also pick DS up at the airport at 11pm. Then Saturday, we will all come to Ipswich for a few days. My daughter's neighborhood is pretty transitional still, some really nice houses, some mediocre, some in disrepair. She is on the 3rd floor of a duplex. The building is safe, and structurally sound, but not at all pretty. The porch is unpainted, and inexplicably, there are dead flowers in a box. Its better than when her landlord had the stuff he had pulled out of an old bathroom sitting there for months. So while I feel good that the smoke detectors work, there is good pest control in the building, the egresses are usable and the other renters keep an eye out for each other, etc I feel depressed when I walk up to the building. We've decided we are just going to do a few things like paint the door to her apartment, fix the blinds, fix a drawer that always falls out etc to at least make her apartment more livable. I know that's really the landlord's job, but he's shown he will do what needs to be done per code, but not much else.
Super fresh breeze today, after rain last night. Kind of like Camelot: they say it never rains til after sundown. Actually it did rain a bit yesterday, turning our beach visit overcast and windy. The salt air still felt amazing, and watching the tide swallow up a sandbar is always entertaining to this landlocked citizen of the Bold North.
Is it Wednesday already???? Must return to post holiday awareness of world life.
Time runs away like.....just this minute climbed out of that rabbit hole of a google & u-tube search- I have had a Pinterest account for forever...and just throw pins in,
willy-nilly. Finally decided to clean up and organize---NOT...cannot for the life of me find out the where and how to of it. All these great sources and they are unusable- (visualize your worst closet or drawer nightmare). Must walk away... where are the matches....Delete...delete....
The last few days I have fallen into a pattern of starting the day off motivated and making on track food selections only to derail at some point later in the day .... The mind set always being...well, ok, tomorrow.... Old tapes playing again. I'm like the person, who argues, while sitting in a chair, that she can stand up when ever she WANTS to if only she would TRY to do so. I must take the word-thought-"try" out of that statement. If I Want to, then I will Do it; otherwise "trying" is lying and means I don't really want to -stand up out of that chair just yet.

I'm not sure how I got on the algorithm for these (probably the same reason I'm now getting join AARP mail), but I suppose they know me! https://youtu.be/t_9nhkjZ5ls
I can't stand up from sitting on the ground without getting on my knees and using my hands. This guy says we all can with building up the right muscles. The comments are particularly encouraging filled with a lot of people in their 60s and 70s who are now working on this.
The consignment people got back to me and told me which pieces they would take (no armoires or rugs). I don't know how I'm going to get rid of a nice Drexel Heritage armoire. No one wants them anymore!
Off to drop off more books at the library and scrounge boxes at Costco to take even more!
