I had mussels for dinner last night. I wonder where they fall in terms of calories? We went to a place in a boat yard a bit further down Cape from us with the two SILs. One of them is the one who got hit with the penalty on the house rental because of her upcoming surgery ($1500). She wants to wait until her rental is up (she moves in today), then put the situation out on social media. Both the rental agent and the homeowner are women. Have they no compassion? I guess everyone is out to make a few bucks even at the expense of others.
I didn't get my last cleaning of the screen porch finished yesterday as the trigger part of the power washer broke. A replacement part arrives Monday. Probably just as well as my back was still kind of creaky yesterday. This morning I may do some clipping of plants and bushes which need to be pushed back.
After the bushes is beach (it is supposed to be 80 today), then my last "sniff" test as Mike calls them. I am meeting Mike's third longest running friend (since Junior High) and his wife. They were very COVID anxious and wouldn't go out or get together with anyone except family until recently.
Have a sunny Saturday!

The font on the part of my rental agreement that said no refunds for any reason whatsoever no exceptions was in all caps, in bold, and highlighted just in case I missed it otherwise. I think it's easier for them to just make it a blanket no, then they are out of the position of having to make any exceptions for anyone no matter how awful the situation is. Absolves them of their need to be human and keeps them "fair" across the board in their lack of empathy.
Yesterday's eating was not good! And I didn't walk (so hot). Today is a new day.
Today I need to get going on sorting out the books and dvds to donate. I didn't get to it the other day. Aside from that, no plans and I'm totally okay with that!
Hey friends, it?s me??a blast from the past! I?m hopping back on the wagon after gaining way too much Covid and menopause weight (and let?s face it, I have a horrible addiction to sugar!). I started tracking my food again on My Fitness Pal and hope to get my butt motivated to move more! Need to lose 45-50 lbs. Yikes!I know it can be done, I?ve done it many times. Even though I can eat more now than I could probably 5 years ago, I know I still have restriction and have to go back to the basics of protein forward meals, limiting snacking and limiting those damn sweets! Wish me luck!!!
Great to hear from you here! You can absolutely do it! I need to get on that wagon with you. Going out to eat too often and less than healthy snacks are my downfall.

I, too, am residing at the Rotten-Regain-Resort, and while it sucks big time, thankfully I do not have near the pounds to take off as the last time. You're right as rain- NEGU! We've been successfu before and can do it again!

175.0. What's with that? Need to remember - for me, the purpose of daily weighing is not to judge self as a "fail or success" but rather as a tool and reminder to take a daily inventory of behavior and make appropriate changes and adjustments as needed. It is sooooo easy for me to blow off for great lengths of time any thought regarding my relationship with food.
Need to daily ask myself if the price I will pay for inappropriate use of food is worth the so-called-pleasure (or comfort or distraction or entertainment or...or...or...ad nauseam ) rationalizing and false justification for stuffing food down the ol' pie-hole.
Oh- a trip to the beach- sounds so refreshing. Living here in the "interior ", well, I guess I could jump into my neighbors cattle pond... currently 98 degrees and grateful for a comfortable and cool house and no earthy reason to have to go outside. Crazy Kansas weather- tomorrows high supposed to be 80.

I couldn't live too far from the ocean. It is my happy place!

The ocean is a wonderful place to be! My happy water place is a NWFlorida Panhandle, sandy-bottomed, crystal clear, spring fed, full of panfish, pond/lake encircled with moss covered cypress just into the waterfront.
