Try 2 - I lost the window I was typing in on my iPad. Sometimes I wish they would stop adding new features.
Sold houses, swamp coolers, clean closets, puppies, returning friends. It is amazing how diverse our topics are, which keeps it interesting.
Yesterday I had one of those Fairlife protein drinks for lunch. Though I felt like it wouldn't satisfy before I had it, I was more than full and it tasted great. But then last night we had pizza with DS and his new friend. But the crust was super thin so I told myself it was lower in calories.
We are going to Martha's Vineyard for the day today. It is easy to take the Island Queen ferry from here for just a few hours. We park at a friends home a block away, walk over and take the 1/2 hour boat ride and we are there. Bus rides from one town to another are easy and inexpensive. Then we pop back at the end of the day. We were waffling between going today or tomorrow but I think we will go today. It will be a bit cooler today but there is less chance of showers. Either way we wanted to go before all the families with kids arrive for summer vacations starting this weekend.
Time to get a high protein breakfast. I have persuaded Mike to try eating that way for a *****igh protein) as he has noticed the overeating that can occur after skipping meals (his former way of trying to lose weight).
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The fair life protein shakes are pretty decent. I like to use them as a base for iced coffee.
We had a short drive yesterday, (5hours) which was always the plan, because we wanted to our son in Madison Wisconsin. He's 26, and has lived/worked here for 2 years. We've never slept at his apartment before, we usually get a hotel. It was very sweet. He made us dinner, and also bought wine and cheese for a snack in the evening. He lit candles in every room so his apartment smelled nice, and he clearly had vacuumed and swept etc. He even laid out towels for us to use.
He has lots of high tech toys and DH loved playing with them. He has a virtual reality set with the big goggles. I tried it out too, I played a game where you fly. The effects feel startlingly real.
Food was generally good in terms of quantity. I figure I'd had about 300 calories when we got to Madison. Perhaps fear of pooping your pants is the best diet technique! I am feeling pretty much normal this morning.
We're going out to breakfast at our favorite breakfast place in Madison. Then we'll go about 8 hours or so, which should bring us to someplace in Ohio.
Onward in all adventures and endeavors!
I am glad you are feeling better and had such a good visit with your son. My mother was born and lived in Madison WI until her early teens.

So glad you're feeling better, DD!
You all had raved about Fairlife protein shakes, but they seem to be sold out everywhere here. So I stuck with Premier Protein for my recent purchase...
I had just over 10,000 steps yesterday with 2 walks. Food was good and I'm up a pound. Ah, fluctuations! I wore my new tennies and I can tell the difference even though the old ones still looked fine.
Today I'm going to the movies with a friend and (likely unnecessarily) worrying that I got the bank account number wrong on the wire instructions until the money comes in. My brain is exhausting! I think there will be popcorn, but I will try to make it work within my calories.
Yesterday was trash day and my "no empty cans" rule is back in full force as I only have a few trash days left before I move. Most food I won't be able to take, so I cleaned out some frozen foods that had been in there forever, the spice cupboard, the baking cupboard, the alcohol shelf, and half the pantry. A few garage items rounded it out. My friend gave me a bunch of empty Amazon boxes and next up are books and dvds to donate to the friends of the library.
I think that's it for the day. Hope you all have good ones!
I had to order the Fairlife through Amazon

Greetings all
A sunny and slow day today. I visited the studio and fooled around with some clay, followed up with our accountant on some tax stuff, spend a long time on hold on the phone to check up on why we don't have our studio debit card yet, then helped DH mess with our land line phone which was not working. He does what he calls "rebooting" the house which shuts power off and sometimes fixes internet issues. It did not work. So much waste of time trying to contact the provider though it finally got fixed. Whatever happened to customer service? Why did I have to wait so long to talk to a human being?
CC this is all getting so real! Down to throwing stuff out of the freezer! We can't wait to hear of your adventures in Sedona. 20 years ago we moved up here and it was so fun exploring all the area. You will have so much fun. I was worried about how I would find friends out here but it was easy with the garden club and the studio.
DD glad you had fun seeing your son and that he was so accommodating. And glad you are feeling better. Road trips are so fun. Find some adventure!
You too Liz in Martha's vineyard. You are right to tell Mike to have a protein shake instead of skipping a meal. Yeah Fairlife protein drinks do taste better. Someday I will drink some.
So I told DH today that neighbor had helped some with garage. He was fine. So far he has not re-trashed the place but its only day 3.
I am so enjoying our new shower. Grateful I have it. Climbing into a tub and standing on that surface and lack of grab bars was terrible. So much better. I am realizing I am an old lady and need these comforts. I also realize I had better get a little weight off as it is making me tired and sore and affecting mobility. Earlier after VSG I was the most vigilant person there was about proper eating and that has now gone all to hell. Where did my mojo go?
Not much else. I am dreaming of new floors.
