Happy Summer Solstice!!
In other news, I think this stomach flu has not destroyed me entirely, and we might be able to head out today. Its going to be a shorter drive, just 5hours because we want to stop in Madison to see our son.
I'm going to have some toast and ginger ale and see if I can get on with the day. More later :)
Hope all is well with Liz, and she is just recuperating from her busy weekend.

So glad you're on the mend, DD!
The packers/movers are secured for the week of July 18th. It's expensive to have someone else pack you! But I feel better knowing they'll do it right versus my lazy packing skills. I think next step is to walk around and make a list of what doesn't get packed (ie comes to AZ now).
I think escrow closes today, but I haven't talked to my realtor in several days.
Yesterday was good on the food front and I had 7700 steps for the day. My walk after the sun went down was quite nice and my pace was faster due to the Harlan Coben audiobook thriller I was finishing. The book ended just a few houses away from my house. Great timing!
This morning I'm due to walk with my friend to Starbucks in my neighborhood and back. It's about a mile each way. The goal was to avoid the heat as it's going to be 88. At least it's cooling off at night, so it's fine.
I ordered a few stretchy jersey sundresses from Nordstroms that I really like. I thought they'd be good for AZ. I returned some from a few other stores that didn't fit right. I'm so long torsoed, I just can't wear anything with an empire waist. The band that is supposed to create a high waist under the bust inevitably cuts right across mine. Somehow despite knowing this will be the truth, I still keep trying to make it happen. It never will unless I sew it for myself and that isn't going to happen either! Also got some new athletic shoes as the soles on my others were getting a bit worn.
Anyway, enough procrastinating getting dressed. She's going to be here soon and I can't go in my jammies...
Hey, hey...so wearing down the soles on a pair of athletic shoes is a good thing- they are being well used.
When professionals pack your stuff, just how detailed does that go; I mean does that mean they're packing your drawers and dishes and small decorative items?? Have always been curious...
Empire waisted dresses do not work on my self on any level. The lightweight t-shirt jersey dresses I have are swing style. I absolutely love them-so cool and nice.

From talking with a friend of mine who had professional packers, they are like whirling dervishes of packing. A whole 3000 sq ft house done in a matter of hours. He said they will pack EVERYTHING if you're not careful including trashcans with trash in them and half-filled bottles of whatever under the sink. So best to only leave what you want in a box when they come in!

Swann has informed us that he is not- and I mean not a hot weather dog. Consequently we've been getting over to the walking trails at 5:00 a.m. just when it gets barely light for the big daily out and about adventures. Ends up being a good thing- summer is not really my thing either. If there are walks to be had early morning is the best. By the end of June I'm totally over it and Fall (my favorite season) can blow on in after July 4th.
Am hoping the green beans hold up. I put up another canner full after we returned home. The weather has not cooperated re garden, no extra asparagus to freeze and only put up one good batch of sugar snaps.
I have gotten out of the good habit of hydration- used to easily drink 90 oz daily. I barely get (not counting coffee) 36 oz. This has been going on forever now and I'm about sure is a factor in my struggle to drop some of the extra weight. I have a glass of the stuff with me all the time, I just don't t bother to drink it! Silly me; must do better.
Diamond, ginger ale is the best for tummy troubles. Vernor's ginger ale was my mom's go to cure for absolutely everything. The bubbly wonderful drink almost made feeling punky worth it.

So glad you are feeling better. I hope you continue to improve so you enjoy your trip.
Yesterday was unpacking, laundry and regrouping. And I was exhausted after a bout with insomnia the night before (after 2 weeks of great sleep in Aruba).
I had my my first of many summer appointments today. I saw my cardiologist and he was relatively pleased though he tweaked one BP med. My weight has not changed since 6 Months ago and he felt my weight was healthy! After all the traveling and just returning from Aruba I am taking that as a win. Though I wish I was 20 pounds lighter I'm not that bad at this weight and apparently can maintain here without working at it. Which is amazing in itself. Thank you sleeve!
Have a terrific Tuesday and welcome to summer!

I definitely think the sleeve makes a big difference. For instance, in the past if I ordered a burger and fries I would eat ALL of it. Now I eat half or less of the burger and a few fries and can't eat anymore without feeling sick.

Congratulations though I am sure you have mixed feelings.
