Happy Father's Day to the Father's of children and animals in your life!

We are leaving Boston in about an hour or so. Another somewhat crazy day. Mike already went to the North End this morning to get cannolis to bring to dinner with his daughter.

Yesterday was a smooth day picking up the rental car and attending the fundraiser for our friend's son. Boy does he have a lot to go through. More surgeries, learning how to walk, and learning how to use a prosthetic. He is now at a rehab place for two weeks but just to get him to a point where he can raise his upper body enough for his Mom (a nurse) to care for him. He will be back home after that for a month, still fully bedridden until he has a surgery to remove some hardware which will enable him to start the real rehab of learning to walk. So much to deal with, but he has a super positive attitude.

We are going to breakfast here in Boston for Father's Day shortly. Then drive to my Cape house to drop luggage, get warmer clothing, and get another car. We drop the rental car off on the way to Mike's Cape house where we will have dinner with his daughter. Finally back home to my house to sleep. We have nothing planned tomorrow except laundry and spending time with Justice than goodness!

Have a safe Sunday!

Tomorrow sounds like the day you need! Busy.

We're off to my parent's house. Then home for the final packing. Adventure starts tomorrow.

New Premier Protein flavor #2... Cafe Latte. I like this one the best of all. Given it's coffee flavored, it's not as cloyingly sweet as the others. Thumbs up!

I had lots of steps yesterday. Just over 8000. I walked on my own as it was gorgeous... 73 with no clouds and a constant breeze off the ocean. Perfect. Then my friend came over and we walked a bit again. She was so thoughtful, she had wanted to suggest we go get ice cream, but offered a walk instead after my weight laments the other day. A good friend because I would have caved to ice cream.

I also tracked my food yesterday which I haven't done since last spring according to MFPal. It does make a difference in what I eat. Of course that is greatly helped by reaching the end of my weight tether and actually wanting to make changes. When I don't want to make changes, no amount of tracking would help.

So walking, tracking, and eating sensibly resulted in a small drop on the scale. Now to tack on another day of good choices. And then another and another...

Ra****ch 2022: Another video of one going in to the bait box and staying for a while. Hopefully soon, I won't see one! Also daytime video of courting squirrels. They show no interest in the boxes and I don't think they'd fit anyway.

Wishing you all a happy rat free Sunday!

Greetings all

T-mimus 30 minutes until I go to the airport to pick up DH and not long after he will see what I have done. Tee nee. I do miss him even though I am reluctantly thinking about what to make for dinner. I was cleaning stuff out of the freezer and I am cooking it for the dogs. Just stuff that has been in there for awhile - making room for more stuff to develop freezer burn. And I washed a bunch of stuff that was concealed in the bottom of the closet. No telling how long its been there.

CC good on you for getting the walk in and not giving up on this struggle.

Happy fathers day to all. My dad would have been 100 a few weeks ago were he still alive. He died at age 68 from a surgical infection and stroke. Anyone who still has a dad give hugs.

Its beautiful and windy here. Warm for our area but nothing like the midwest. DD please stay cool and over-hydrate!! Its iced tea weather on steroids. I tried to buy iced tea in jugs yesterday at Stupid CVS but all they had was sweet tea! Sacriledge!!! Sweetened tea is an abomination. At least cold tea.

Cannolis Liz! Joy. Hope they are good. I have never encountered a bad one!

Back to our usual routine tomorrow. Go to the studio, see the kiln opening, trip to the bank, watch DH sleep in his big chair - you know, the usual excitement.

More later maybe if DH's reaction is worth reporting.

Regarding your freezer burn: I like to begin composting produce in the veggie drawer in my fridge. One day I check it and think, yep, ready to be walked out to the composer outside. Then I go to the grocery store and start the whole cycle again.

Now that DH has worked his last full time day, his last weekend, his last evening, I am hoping he takes on a good share of the meal prep when I'm working... Perhaps I am dreaming. What does your DH make for supper if you're not cooking?

I just finished Nadiya's Time to Eat on Netflix. She is a former British Bake Off winner. It's a cooking show all about good food fast. Maybe I'm just hungry, but her excitement about cooking is contagious and the food looked delicious.

D I hear you on the fridge composting. Our area is considering food waste pick up but I don't see how.

dh noticed the garage clean up and immediately wanted to know what I had tossed and I showed him the bag of trash still in the garage. He seems ok but he has not yet looked in the closet. He thinks I did all this myself.

congrats on dh retiring. Maybe he will prep dinners.if I am not here my dh just eats junk food.
