I received an email this morning that I will be transporting 2 Cunucu puppies back to Boston to be adopted (I had filled out the paperwork last week)! DD's friend who died last week was a huge supporter of this organization and had fostered many of their puppies. So I am doing this in her memory which greatly pleases DD (and me). And those puppies are always so cute I will enjoy that too!
Today is another day in paradise. I think our friend is going to sand carve another piece today. Other than that we will take our usual walk and are going to dinner at a nice restaurant this evening.
Have a marvelous Monday!

What a great way to honor your friends legacy. Pup pictures do look cute.
There's been a lot of eating out, socializing since Friday evening. Yesterday we had a spur of the moment lunch with BFFs son and his family. Later in the evening, we met up with some high school friends. Tonight BFF and I are dining with our college roomies. All very fun, but add in last weekends whirlwind family wedding, and I'm getting a bit tired. I have a few things to accomplish before we hit the road in a week.
There was a thunderstorm in the early morning, so cozy for sleeping in. Its overcast right now, but we're expecting it to heat up into the 90s tomorrow. Normally, I would want to grab my beach chair and head out, but I don't think the lakes are quite warm enough yet. It was a long cold spring, and tomorrow will be our first really hot day.
In the interest of not going completely off the deep end, we're packing our scale. I have had steady regain while pretty much weighing myself every day. But I fear it could be even worse without it.
I am posting from my phone, so not sure how this will go...
dog show is done. My girl kicked dog show butt and earned two 5 point majors (big wins) to finish her AKC championship the first two days she was entered. I am particularly proud that the final judge is a well known and very successful Airedale breeder. (And we breat some top handlers with very nice dogs...)
pups are all doing well. I feel I can relax a bit and stop holding my breath. Tomorrow Dottie's litter will be 3 weeks old.
today feels like the first day of summer vacation. Ahhhh... finally!
What an amazing showing by your dog! And good to hear that the pups are progressing well.

Greetings all
Sunny windy day here. I ran about a million errands today. Payroll for the studio, dog food shopping, getting cash from the bank, a bit of studio time, groceries and I can't remember what else. I am very popular at the studio since I pick up the paychecks from the accountant and sign them. Yay me. But all that running around is tiring. Also went to an office supply store for stuff they don't have plus bank deposit. And I checked the food pantry box while dropping off a zillion little sample sized dental floss items. Very little food there. A two pound bag of rice. So tomorrow I will go shopping for pantry items. So much need.
I am going to have to look up Cunucu pups but good on you Liz for transporting. Wonderful tribute to your friend.
And speaking of pups, our Peps indeed kicked major butt at the dog show. A five point major is HUGE and two in one weekend is outstanding. Congrats Peps. And yay that the pups are 3 weeks - hence food from a dish. But also the onslaught of puppy turds extravaganza!
So I went to the grocery with a vague plan of healthy stuff for the week. But derailed by the bacon gorgonzola potato salad. But only a small amount. And avocados plus ground beef to feed the dogs.
I listened to an NPR show about how everyone should be a vegan for the sake of the planet - aside from kindness to animals. Food for thought (lol). I think I could maybe be mostly a vegetarian but no way could I give up dairy.
DD I salute you for taking a scale on your trip. My regain got bad when I stopped weighing. I so wish there was a way to keep weight off without all this calculating and measuring but for many of us I don't think there is. Tracking works. Now I will go insert my head back into the sand.
DH is being forced to eat healthy stuff by his sisters. Wonder how long it will be before he gets a bag of cheese popcorn. His one sister was on a big keto kick for a while but not sure if thats still the case.
Studio buddy and I watched true crime yesterday while drinking wine. Pretty decadent. I got a small amount of junk moved and am inspired to do more.
Cheers all.
Diane S
Good luck with the junk removal!
