It is Monday already. Soon we will make our first decision of the day: which direction to walk on the beach. Tonight we hope to go to a really nice restaurant in the high-rise area called Oak, but we may not be able to get a reservation. I am not sure what plan B will be.

DD and her BF seem to be enjoying it here. They went in the water a couple of times yesterday which is unusual for DD. Pictures of them enjoying their swim:

Today I have a 4 hour zoom strategic planning meeting. I can't think of anything I'd rather do less. I absolutely despise all the meaningless, nebulous buzzwords such activities birth like "energize" "synergy" "empower" "solutions". All the putting pins in things and circling back and low hanging fruit. I hate it! Give me concrete actions please. What action items do all that gobbledygook translate to? Sigh. The fun starts at 1.

Off to get ready for the day. I'm out of printer paper :/ It took me years to get through the last ream! One more thing to move...

I forgot (briefly) how there are always new "power" words whose meaning may not even fit the topic but people love to throw them around. I remember when it seemed like "paradigm" was thrown into every conversation at work. Drove me nuts!

Good Morning All

Tuesday here and I am the Lone Ranger at work again today as the team are all sick. Its been a wet and miserable start to winter and the colds/flu are spreading like wildfire. Just going to plod through the mountains of work in the warmth of my office - oh and drink lots of cups of tea no doubt....

Saw Top Gun last night and loved it. It lived up to all the hype. I would go and see it again.

Tonight we are taking Pumpkin soup and garlic bread over to DSS and his family. DH will make it while he works from home today. Nice n warm on a cold winters day.

Not a lot else to report here so I had best keep moving. Posting 2 days in a row - a new record for me! Trying to be more present

I would see it again too! Those flying sequences were terrific.

I really thought Top Gun was great too. Mike loved the first movie so was super excited to go and it did not disappoint!
